You know, there are plenty of teams in the world who don't have "GOAT" level players and they win the champions league and their league. Bayern and Liverpool have great players just like we do, and they're doing pretty well. Manchester City and Juventus were also winning quite a bit, they didn't have the turtle or Haaland either. A great team doesn't always require a mercurial talent. A collection of fantastic individuals can take a team pretty far. Our own team is a perfect example of that right now. Benzema and Modric are GOAT level players arguably in their position, but they didn't get to that level in a vacuum. It takes a team that compliments them to take them to the next level. Sometimes the best way to react to a situation like this is to build your squad to cover up for depth and then be on the lookout for the next great talent, while cultivating the talent you already have. I personally am excited to continue watching Vinicius Jr's development as a Left winger, and now he won't have to compete with the turtle for that position. If the direction of football is to be owned by the oil states, then Man City, Newcastle and PSG will reign supreme and then people can maybe...finally address the elephant in the room. But that's the problem for the footballing powers that be. For now, we just have to accept that Florentino Perez put too many eggs in the turtle's basket and got the club burned for it. We'll have to see what other players emerge over the next 4-5 years. Most great players know that Real Madrid is still an amazing club with a great history and millions of fans all over the world. Real Madrid and Barcelona has an allure that most other clubs only dream of having. It's considered the pinnacle of club football. When the finances are right and the stars align again, I am sure we'll find the next best talent that suits our club and actually loves it. Federico Valverde has been quoted saying: "Being from Madrid is a privilege that not everyone can have". I'm sure that sentiment is shared quite frequently. There will be others who will appreciate and accept that privilege with open arms when it is offered to them. Real Madrid is still a rich and successful football club and the biggest in the world. A certain player was offered that privilege and he turned it down quite disrespectfully. He has burned a bridge here, and we hope he'll never be given that privilege again.
Roko Simic 18 y o scored 2 goals in his last game for Red Bull youth team, ends the Season with 38 g/a. Joint top scorer in youth League and among top scorers in UEFA euro u21 qualifiers with Croatia. Son of Dario Simic former player from Milan AC. Tall, physical, got the nose for goal and a huge heart, a warrior on the pitch. Croatia considers him as the future of the NT upfront.
Haaland at least will win relevant titles, though they win those without him. Mbappe is stuck in that shit hole
Mbappe and Haaland are not Messi and Ron of their generation either. This generation will probably return the normalcy with a bunch of very good players compared to two all time greats dominating for 15 years. People just assume that couple of great players of their generation will follow suit since Messi and Ron had unbelievable longevity with their domination in football. Ron has no weakness as a scorer and was technically very good. One of the best ever with headers.Messi is a unicorn with his playmaking ability coupled with amazing scoring record. Mbappe for example is average at best in air. Haaland has to improve his pass success rate considerably. Ron and Messi won 9 CLs in total (8 in terms of major contributions since Messi was out injured in his debut season). We won't see such dominance again in our lifetime most probably.
The Mbappé situation is obviously disappointing news. However, I think I've found a solution. With a goal like the below, maybe he'll be worth the punt? Could rejuvenate his career here and potentially be a better signing than Mbappé would have been.
In the past 2 years, Real Madrid saved money to splash all over on Kylian Mbappe & Erling Haaland. They'll be very, very soon become top 2 players in the game for a really long time. Both are absolutely phenomenal goalscorers despite not being close to hit their prime yet. Real Madrid have remained among favorites to win UCL because Benzema has almost single-handedly carried the goalscoring production on his back. Also, most of the key players are in their 30s and won't get younger. If Benzema gets a season-ending injury or declines massively next season, Real Madrid won't have a reliable goalscorer who scores around 30 goals or more consistently. Mbappe and Haaland were the insurence Real Madrid badly needed. I doubt Vinicius will ever deliver 30 goals regulary The future looks very dark on Real Madrid's behalf once Benzema & the rest of the old guard are washed-up or leaves the club.
That's his problem now I guess. I wish him the best, and if he wins the Ballon D'Or farming Uber Eats league each season, good for him. That basket case of a team somehow got to the CL finals under Tuchel. Who knows if they can repeat that feat under another coach. The Parisian journalists are spinning it saying "He can still join in 3 years because he will be 26 years old.". I sincerely hope not. I don't know why Madridistas would ever forgive him unless they have the memories of a goldfish.
Dude I totally forgot that you're the sensationalist who always looks at the glass half empty and wish Real Madrid would fail forever so you could moan about it.
🚨🥇| EXCL: Real Madrid talked to Pini Zahavi a few months ago. As things stand, Leipzig have closed the door to every club for Nkunku. @Santi_J_FM— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) May 23, 2022
Contract until 2024. They will sell this summer if player wants to leave. Else fee will be 30-35 ME next summer which they wouldn't want.
Lol so true. At one point he was acting as if Mbappe was already a Madrid player that was on loan at PSG and coming back anyways this season. Before that it was Haaland and mbappe both playing for Madrid in same season Lost all faith on sports journalists tbh
Thankfully we get to keep Vinicius who's the 3rd most valuable player in the world at 21. Good times.
Gnabry is a better option for Real Madrid than Nkunku. I don't see Nkunku dealing well with turn over and with Leipzig in Bundesliga he had the spaces he needed to express his main qualities, not sure either that he will accept to share his time with Rodrygo after the season he just had. Gnabry with Bayern already experienced the kind of matchs hé would have to play with Real Madrid.
That's basically the problem with these two supposed new "future Ballon D'Or" winners. They wanna play Real Madrid like a fiddle and have their way with our team. Utterly disrespectful and unworthy of the shirt.
Don't even know why you engage in 'discussions' with Varnagel. Dude always shows up when something bad happens, like missing out on Mbappe, for example. Then, when things are good, he disappears. I don't expect to see him on here for months if we win the Champions League final.
Fabrizio Romano: For sure, Real Madrid will change their plan because the initial idea was to complete the team with Kylian Mbappe, Antonio Rudiger and a left back (priority to Fran Garcia’s return), nothing else. Now the strategy is to consider investing in other positions as well, such as for the midfield. Monaco star Aurelien Tchouameni has been discussed internally at Real Madrid for months, and I’ve also previously revealed Liverpool’s interest in the player. As for alternatives to Mbappe up front, Mohamed Salah has not had direct contact with Real Madrid as of today and his departure in the summer is not considered easy, while Sadio Mane is still waiting for a meeting with Liverpool before discussing the future. This week, Carlo Ancelotti and Florentino Perez will have direct contact to plan for the future. 🚨 Here we go - @FabrizioRomano is back to give you the latest on...Real Madrid's transfer plans after Mbappe 📝Arsenal star changing his agent⏳Juventus director's meetings in London👀 https://t.co/lcAjQJyKRG— CaughtOffside (@caughtoffside) May 23, 2022
I don't understand why every player approaching 30 years of age is immediately dismissed as "too old", when every year we see more and more players performing at an elite level well into their 30s. The 3 Ballon d'Or frontrunners (Messi, Benzema, Lewa) last year were all above 30, this year's winner will be a 34 year old, our team is lead by Benzema and Modric who are 34 36, Ronaldo 3peated the Champions League between the age of 31-33, Lewa is winning golden boots in his 30s. Not every player we sign has to be a loyal 10 year server, if there are no good opportunities in the market then there's nothing wrong with looking for a 2-3 year stop-gap until better prospects arrive. Thiago Silva (signed at 35) was a massive hit and helped Chelsea win a CL title. Suarez (signed at 33) lead Atletico to a league title. Aubameyang (32) scored 11 league goals in the second half of the season to save Barca from Europa League doom next season. Giroud (35) & Ibrahimovic (39) contributed a lot to Milan's recent resurgence. Now I'm not saying we should sign any of the players mentioned above, but Hazard flopping is not a reason to steer away from signing Salah/Mahrez on a 3 year deal. They're better fits than Leao, Nkunku, and most of the names being thrown around. A left footed right winger is exactly the profile we've been missing ever since Gareth Bale stopped being a serious footballer years ago.

I won't mind Mahrez for 40 ME range and hopefully he will give us 3 good years. He doesn't play as much as he should in PL due to City's rotation. As for Salah, he loves playing under Klopp and will use us as leverage to get close to the numbers he want from Pool imo. So I don't want us to get used again.
Basically, both of them play for "ME FC" which is something Ronaldo has done his entire career, but to be at their age, and demand concessions like that from the clubs, is a new level never seen before.
Just hit me that they're both non-EU lol, any idea when Vini's Spanish passport will arrive? It's taking ages.
Mahrez was born and grew up in France. The issue with him is that he will be leaving to play the African cup in the middle of the year.
It wasn't only me... the President and everyone at the club basically believed the same. We were tricked. The kid did everything to sell us a story then pulled the rug days before announcing a decision. There is no shame in getting that wrong but I Get people have to take their frustration out on someone and I am the big dog.
