Looks interesting. I want a new RB. Could you ask your friend about his consistency and injury record?
I would pull the trigger on Tchouameni even at 80 mil, he's that good. plus he's going to be serving this club for the next 10 + years, i'd say that's a worthy investment, ideally we'd pay less of course but if that's what it takes then Perez has to do it.
I don't think anyone who has seen Alaba excel as a world class player at Bayern would doubt he'd succeed at RM. Hard part is figuring out these players at non elite teams would succeed at top level or not. That's where Pool have succeeded so well with Salah, Mane, Firmino, Jota and Diaz. Klopp's system gets the best out of offensive players too (Kagawa, Mikhi at Dortmund). I think Carlo also allows offensive players a lot of freedom though he's not a specific system coach at every club he's been. Diaby from Leverkusen is an interesting RW option btw. Another PSG youth product. His finishing can improve a lot but still scored well this season. Very skillful. Got a contract until 2025 though.
He performed pretty well while he has been able to stay healthy. He hasn't missed a lotta time until his latest injury, which was close to two months. He's electric, very athletic, technical and can also play as RW sometimes. https://www.transfermarkt.com/jeremie-frimpong/verletzungen/spieler/484547 He's very young, only 21 years old. The reward is definitely worth the relatively low risk given his price. He's Dutch, but hasn't been called up yet to the main team. His biggest competition for the national team is Denzel Dumfries from Inter Milan.
Having a midfield trio of Tchouameni, Camavinga and Valverde can potentially cover a lot of weaknesses in the squad.
Looks like he has decent dribbling skills and isnt overdependent on his strong foot for shots which is good.
Yeah, furthermore there have been many parallels made between him and Carvajal. That is always a positive. They both had their breakouts at the same team (Leverkusen). Maybe Carva could even take him on as an understudy.
Yeah. Think of all the ground that uber athletic midfield can cover. We'll basically suffocate the opposition to death.
We snubbed him for Mbappe. It might or might not mean a thing for him. Let's see how it goes in the next few years.
I don't think we snubbed him. It's just he wasn't priority over Mbappe, who we were already pursuing for years. I wouldn't put much stock into that. At least we get to see if Haaland does have niggling injuries. Who knows, we might have dodged a bullet twice.
We made him a good offer according to Romano so not really. I think Benzema's form played a part in his decision rather than Mappe interest.
That's possible, there is a lot of quality there but i'd have to see it in action first before i believe it will just automatically fit together and dominate, some midfields gel, some don't , i believe that they can, if it happens we'll see
This is true tbh. If Haaland asked both clubs to insert a relatively low 150 M release clause, it's another drama waiting to happen like Neymar/Mbappe. City might have agreed because they are confident of keeping him by blowing other offers out of water in 2024 or 25 as well. Haaland and his family are just like Mbappe. Otherwise, they would not have asked City and Real Madrid for a release clause of 150 million euros. Another business project. More Vinicius and Rodrygos, less Mbappe and Haalands. https://t.co/2k9v4OXH6T— La Saeta Rubia (@LSR_RM) May 23, 2022
In this same world people were saying Halaand costing €65M+€45M agent fees and bonuses was far too much.
Dude , take a chill pill about how right you are and how wrong everyone is. You were blowing people out of the water when they were being apprehensive about Mbappe... looks like no one has any idea and till official communication it's pretty much speculation. In a way I am happy that we may be finally moving away from the Galactico model and relying on our new approach of finding gems at young age - we have been pretty successful at that, so it's ok.
One ridiculous fee spent on an English player transferred within the EPL (so double inflation) shouldn’t be a baseline for us unless we’re intent on setting all of our money on fire. I’ve never see Tchouameni play but I’m very skeptical that any 22yo DM from that league is an €80m player.
whatever we do this summer, hopefully we continue to scout France, in many ways France seems to be what Spain was a decade ago in terms of producing talent
PSG can offer what it wants. If the player decides he's only going to Liverpool or Real Madrid, AS Monaco can't really force him to choose otherwise. They can choose to threaten to keep him, but I doubt that'll get them very far. Look at the Rennes-Camavinga situation.
Real Madrid didn't give a damn of Haaland's injuries, Romano confimed it. Nobody cared about Benzema's excellence during the 1st half of this season when Haaland was massively rumoured to join Real Madrid. Benzema is 34 years old and passing on a potential GOAT-level striker was considered a retarded decision in most people's eyes. Haaland would easily be a starter, nobody is gonna bench someone who's one of the highest paid players in our squad while averaging almost 1 goal a game. The revisionist history is quite something else
Benzema is phenomenal, but he'll turn 35 years old in the middle of next season and won't stay at his current level forever. Real Madrid's attack is completely fecked if Benzema massively declines in any given moment due to his old age. Missing out Haaland & Mbappe is a catastrophic scenario for Real Madrid.
There is no way Real Madrid sign Haaland and allow him to have a 150 mil. buyout clause. Even if there's an agreement about everything else, that's where any kind of discussion stops with Real Madrid.
