So I guess there's a delay or something? Because all I'm seeing is Nascar...

EDIT: It's on FS2, at least for the time being. Sorry, you're on your own to find that channel on your lineup.

Didn't see that coming. Well done, Union.

And it wasn't a fluky sort of win, either. The ball spent a lot of time in Portland's half.

I did spend part of the first half bemoaning Santos - but that header was perfect.
Carranza that a similar opportunity in the first and mooned it.
And then Martinez took a shot on a free kick? What trickery was that?

Three points from across the continent. I'll take it.

I think looking at this month we have 7 pts from these games (3 road games, 2 home games). I think if you don't look at the exact games these are not bad results (2 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss is also 7 pts). I was expecting losses for the NSH and LA games. Even the POR game i was expecting it be a loss due to the west coast travel.

I think if we can get a result this weekend and make it 10 pts (from 4 road games and 2 home games) with a ton of cross country travel that will be a very good month.

Certainly I think the RB game and the Miami game would preferably have been 6 points instead of 2 pts, but thats life sometimes.

I agree with this, and note that the Union are 1st in the East, second by points-per-game (NYCFC), and have only two more games out of the Eastern time zone (Chicago at the tail end of June and Dallas in August). Combine that with a three week break after this weekend's New England game, with some winnable games on the schedule after that, and I think they're still sitting in a good position. I mean, if you come out of your "slump" in first place, things aren't all bad, right?

The only real bad result was the loss to Toronto which was more of an anomaly then the other games. The Union dominated that game, and just couldn't finish their chances. TFC finished the two chances they had, and those chances weren't even easy either.

I think Santos has clearly been playing injured and hasn't had a chance to fully get his legs back. We should be much better if we can get Uhre back and let Santos finish games instead of start them. In any case we are hanging out at the top of the table because we have the best D in the league full stop.
