Tchoumeni is going to be another highly contested pursuit. Liverpool are all over that at the moment. You guys think that signing is realistic at this point? I don't know the kid's skill level, haven't seen him play that much tbh.

Would be a very good option to challenge Casemiro.
The Guy is starting to make Kante's place in French starting XI debatable.

Another Guy to keep an eye on when Lukita retires is Lovro Majer.
World class talent.

RMCsport says that Tchouameni has an agreement on personal terms with both Madrid and Liverpool and will decide next week. They’re also reporting that Tchouameni has rejected PSG.

Mónaco asks for 80 million and both Madrid and Liverpool are negotiating with the club.

 

Fabinho, Thiago and Hendo (captain) are Pool's starters. I can see Tchouameni taking minutes from Fabinho, but he's not likely to be a guaranteed starter at Liverpool or Madrid.

 

So... we missed on goalscorer but can bring DM. Ok, it would be amazing signing, still interesting to know how Carlo will rotate 6 very good players in the middle.

 

Just to bring a bit of perspective on Mbappe's "rejection" of us...

Weren't both Alaba and Camavinga approached by PSG, I remember reading several articles saying so, as well offers being made by Man Utd, etc.

I also believe Rudiger was approached by PSG and Utd, and hopefully we can get that one over the line as well.

I think Mbappe's current club and demands made this deal almost impossible for us, and I'm ok with that, if we can sign Tchouameni, Rudiger + some other talent this summer.

 

Valverde will operate as a RW is some games next season, that's pretty much guaranteed.

 

I keep thinking the same thing since we also have Fede and Camavinga. Imo Casemiro needs proper competition who can actually drop him to the bench not a backup.

The only silver lining I see is that I really believe Kroos only has a season in him before he retires. His recent interview about listening to his body was telling.

How about Darwin Núñez? I don't watch Benfica. So I have no idea.

 

Not good enough. IMO a bit overrated, his build up not good, also lack of dribble. Would suit for some team, but not for RM.

 

We got used not to have a replacement for Casemiro and Benz, but, yes, I'd do everything to bring in another quality DM. Casemiro would have to deal with competition again, which is always good.

Now getting a player to replace Benzema is another story. Nobody moves my needle either, I'd even risk slotting Rodry in that position more often.

However, it's awful playing without a reference. Even Aubameyang could be a good option.
