Getting Vini and Rodrygo early was one thing Flo did well to get ahead in oil market. Important to complete that with Endrick.
That one stings more TBH, always liked him better as a fit for his personality and his off field stuff. Mino was a pain but they kept things businesslike which is a far cry from Mbappe.
Haaland in that City squad will score huge amount of goals and he will be even more respected in football after one season under Guardiola and that squad... Guy is machine, u can see the motivation and workrate to become the best in World. Riola, his dad and him made a great decisions about his career and i am sure he will be have a better career then Mbappe after he made this decision...
FFP was a joke anyways. Remember PSG signed Mbappe on "loan" deal to circumvent FFP the same summer they broke world record for Neymar. Even if PSG offers to cover Neymar's wages, he won't be willing to leave for PL. He's all about Paris lifestyle now like Bale at RM since 2018.
MARCA wrote that Mbappe communicate to Flo his decision with an SMS. I really hope Mbappe understand it’s over for him. He probably think he can come after the extension when he will be 26-27 years old.
Yeah we were capped by what Mbappe wanted. It is what it is, hindsight is 20/20, but Haaland was smart enough to put a release clause in his contract so we’ll go after him in 2 years.
Haaland probably learnt from the blunder Pogba made just looking for money and joining Utd who were in Europa. What Mbappe did is even more stupid than Pogba. Many joke exits in CL for 5 years and still renewing there with past it Messi and Neymar as teammates in high intensity CL football era.
What projects did the club out on hold though? Do we know if Håland joins us even if we're not interested in Mbappe?
Imagine a not so far fetched alternate reality where Benzema doesn’t save us with a Ballon level campaign. Imagine we got knocked out by PSG and then Kylian renews. I know I would be asking for Florentino’s head. We’ve kept the financial belt tighter than most of the major clubs in the world in the last 3 years for this failure. Ffs teams like Arsenal have been outspending us
The bigger question now is who is going to coach PSG? Unless you are looking for a giant payday, who’s going to come in and want to be 3rd in command of the squad? Especially if Mbappe get his friends to come play with him? What a mess. It’s going to provide entertainment at least.
Pogba played at United before Juve. He wanted to succeed there (Lukaku kind of thing but he was there at a younger age), it wasn’t just a money thing (although it definitely helped). I will wait for the official statement to move on, but even if by some miracle he ends up here, this whole story is making me not want him here anymore.
We did try for him, we went at it with City. He also rejected us for the money, we don’t know how much we offered in the end but whatever we did offer City would have just kept offering more, and if he rejected us for their money initially then he would have done it again.
Dude, in what world does a player decide the fate of a club that existed for as long as santa clause has? Even with Messi and Ronaldo. Barca and Madrid keep moving ahead.
Honestly he left Juve in the first place due to money only. They were CL contenders when he left. Juve spent 90 ME of that on Higuain right away so I don't think they even forced Pogba out. He made a financial decision. Flo really didn't want to go for him with KCM, Isco at the club. We even had Kova for additional depth and Pogba was going to cost Galactico transfer fee and pretty high wages.
Look at it from a different perspective. Fede, Rodrygo, Vini, Militao, and Camavinga are either current or future stars. You have loads of money, a great academy, very good veteran players that can ensure continued success.
