The actual contenders can all replace anyone in their starting lineup with a very strong option. Let’s say Brazil lost Neymar, Marquinhos, and Casemiro….Antony/Rodrygo, Militao and Fabinho would flip in. How about France if they lost Kante, Mbappe and Benzema….they’d just go with something like Camavinga, Nkunku, and Coman. How about England, what if they lost Kane, Foden, and Alexander-Arnold? Grealish, Sterling, Reece James.

It’s basically like this for the top 8-9 national team sides. Incredibly elite depth at key positions. I had a hard time even defining their best guys and replacements. Now for teams like the US, Mexico, Denmark, Switzerland, Senegal, etc…it’s obviously a far larger dropoff.

Didn't Alexander-Arnold not even get called in for the Euros? Talk about depth!
