the most famous puerta i remember is antonio puerta spanish left back with prominent future that sadly collapsed in a match of league in 2007 with 22 years. very sad story

Angel se ve mas comprometido en lo que he podido ver de este torneo y Manyoma es un jugador muy creativo y constante.
Colombia campeón. Victoria 2-1. El segundo fue un autogol tras una gran jugada de Manyoma que la metió al area y el defensa chilena en su desesperación la desvió lo suficiente para que fuera adentro.

Wasn't able to watch every minute, but I saw quite a bit of each match. My thoughts: -Gustavo Puerta is the most advanced player in the squad. A CM who pops up wherever the team needs him. Kid puts in some great passes over the defense's heads, hitting teammates in stride. Got a couple assists and a "gol." -Jorge Cabezas, if any of them get a transfer to Europe it'll be him. A striker who's about 6'2, fast, with ball skills. Think of a speedy, more twitchy Adrian Ramos. Had a great gol and assist against Japan. -Daniel Pedrozo is a super solid CB who controls the back line on his own. He's quick and strong, and super confident in one-on-ones. He's about 6' right now, but if he grows another inch or two we might see him on the NT in the future. -The two full backs are pretty good. We get lucky to have a decent one every other generation. These two are the most advanced ones I've seen since Arias. Mina has lightning speed. Salazar is well-rounded. -Manyoma is gifted, but he's a bit passive. He's gotta demand the ball more and take the pressure off Puerta. Generally, I gotta give props to Cardenas. The man's strength is spotting young talent, and he's done a pretty great job of creating a team made up mostly of guys from 2nd division.

The u20 is pretty painful to watch…. Don’t know if we had a shot on goal yet…. I know Venezuela is older but still…. defensively pretty bad too. Not sure if I want this team to play France….. why send players to play against guys of different ages?

Dude, it's not the end of the world. This tournament means nothing outside of the data it helps to gather looking forward to the Sudamericano. As for that, they really need to sort out the attacking midfield. Manyoma and Luna don't connect AT ALL. Not with each other, not with the strikers. They basically play on islands the whole match. And for some stupid reason, Cardenas did not play Mina at RB, which took away the only player Manyoma combines with. Venezuela's midfield was impressive. Unfortunately for us, that's the only part of their squad young enough to play in Sudamericano.
