Wow, Reis had a great goal for Hamburg tonight in the attempt to get back into the Bundesliga. I think he was trying to cross the ball but no matter it clanged off the far upright and into the goal.

vdBeek still can't get minutes at Everton.

Everton stay up with the win. Drop is between Leeds and Burnley now. A win by Burnley and they stay up on GD regardless of the outcome of the Brentford = Leeds match.

If I were still a betting man my money would be on Burnley. Leeds last game is away, Burnley are at home. Advantage Burnley.

Weghorst missed a semi-open net btw that could've won the game o_O

Burnely play Newcastle who have been one of the top teams in the EPL over the past 10 weeks. This won't be an easy game. Leeds have an easier match but of course have to win and hope for either a loss or draw by Burnley. I love relegation matches and will be switching between these two games.

Well there are no Eredivisie matches for me to watch this week. I do have the Women's CL game this afternoon.

Let's hope he is not nailed to the bench there.

Simons to PSV and Ihattaren at Ajax should be fun to see.

I just hope he doesn't get hurt or overworked there - esp. before the WC.

  13. Given how these barbarians without refs stopping them butchered Kevin deBruyne, I think it's just a matter of time when that happens to Frenkie.

  17. Papers writing about Wijnaldum being on a crossing, having to choose for the PSG money (while obviously PSG has given the hint he's not going to play by excluding him from the prep trainingscamp) or for a transfer with alot less money on his paycheck and a Might be possible spot in the Orange selection (LvG has hinted he wants to see Gio play).
However I wouldnot trust LvG to throw away millions for a might be spot in the selection, let alone a spot in the eleven, as I think PSG wants him to go and get rid of his paycheck. Don't think they loan him out and keep paying him his money.
Iirc the contract Gino signed was worth 40 million, so there's still 30 million in store for him. Nobody is going to pay him that amount of money. If anything he be lucky if he gets 10 million for 3 years, so for some foggy chance you throw away 20 million?
Do a Bogarde and just sit out the contract.

Need to get this sorted out soon!! It's not great that four key players in Oranje are involved in the ongoing transfer saga this summer.... Frenkie, Memphis and De Ligt being the other three. They may not see minutes at the beginning of the new season, and end up playing catch-up leading up to the W.C.

Barca still owe Frenkie €17M in deferred salary. I don't know who pays that if he transfers.

  22. Well, Frenkie can lay a claim of 17 million on the transfersum, as deferred payment of salary still is a debt of Barca. No transfer is changing that, unless in the transfer agreement ManUnited takes that claim of the back of Barca.

I dont blame him. I'd wanna stay in sunny Barcelona too, instead of rainy, cold Manchester.

I'd rather take a pay cut and stay in Barcelona then go up north.

And I think Frenkie is quietly thinking that, he just doesnt wanna come out and say it, so not to offend the Mancunians

  24. Why would he take a pay cut?o_O
He has the contract and Barca has the problem.
He stays and he gets his money. If Barca doesnot pay, he's transfer free and then he can put the transfer money as a sign hand out in the bank.
Just think about it. Barca owes him 17 million. They want about 70 million for him.
If they donot pay him his money he can as a free agent tell the big clubs, pay me 35 million of the transfer fee to sign a contract and save 35 million.
Barca is the one cornered, not Frenkie.
