It is a shame that we cannot test the logical conclusion of the premises of your argument with the current crop of US strikers.

    It's part of Chelsea's off-season weight-loss program.

    I'm old enough that:

    1) In high school we had pre-season soccer practice in 90/90 weather but were not allowed a drop of water (for two hours plus). Might have gotten stomach cramps.

    2) Our (and everybody else's) poor wrestlers went to terrible extremes to cut (mostly water) weight - wearing plastic over sweatsuits, etc.

    Good times!

Aren't you the guy who told us it was fine to play in Minnesota mid-winter because the field was heated?

Well for Wood it was because he was grossly overpaid for what little he produced. Like three million dollars a year for scoring just two goals a season.

    This is the way!

Many of us have been saying this since early in his BVB days. He needs to add some strength to be able to hold up to the hpysical demands of playing more central but he has all the right tools!!

Pulisic starts with Lukaku and Ziyech against Leicester. Werner's injury seems to be keeping him out still, and Havertz may be being eased back as he is on the bench. Mount is on the bench, so presumably at least he will replace one of the attackers at some point, if not both Mount & Havertz coming on past minute 60.

It's very important for Pulisic to put the ball in the back of the net and keep the starting momentum going.

    Season is over, though, lol.

He should of had this mentality at the start of the season (also finding a way to not get injured).

He always has a good mentality. That's not the problem. Injuries are part of the game. Not his fault.

WTF is going on? Since when does Peacock interrupt EPL games in the middle of the action for commercials? It is unbearable. Right in the middle of the game? Just brutal. I literally missed 4 minutes of the action. Is this a bug? Has anyone seen this before?

EDIT - That is 3 commercial breaks in 5 minutes. There has to be something amiss.

I’m getting fed up with Peacock!!!

They are having technical difficulties with the greed so they decide to inundate us with commercials
I’m switching out off if this doesn’t stop

Slo-mo version of CP out there today. Very strange. Just when it seemed like he was getting to about 80% max speed he puts out an effort in the first half that might see him benched to start the second. This is the 2nd to last game of the season right? Not sure why I am not seeing more spirit from him... and really the whole Chelsea Team. The offensive attacks have been so slow and predictable. Yawn. Great pass/strike from James/Alonso the only play of note in 45 minutes. Hopefully CP will have a chance to go out and make a difference in the 2nd.

Pulisic might be the first guy in history to get booed by both sets of fans in a preseason friendly during that game in Vegas.

He’s a below average finisher that is close to elite at being in position to score. That’s basically who he is at this point. Which leads to some very bad/embarrassing misses.
