Joint winners, but a golden boot is a golden boot. What an amazing player. I will be anti-Kulu from now on...
Even if Son didn't win the Golden Boot, it would have still been an end to a remarkable season. With his 23 open-play goals, nobody deserved this award more than him. You could even make the case he deserved Player of the Year, though, it's hard to argue again Kevin De Bruyne, especially after the heroics of the last game. Still, the fact that an argument could be made tells us something about Son's season. If Kane stays at Tottenham and returns to his normal form from the beginning of the season to the end, Son may never get to 23 goals again (unless he ends up taking the PKs away from Kane). But that's OK. As long as he stays healthy, he'll have another great season....and perhaps, if all the stars align, Player of the Year.
Son is grossly underpaid by a cheapskate. He deserves a better club with better pay. ------- Gary Neville has told Manchester United to focus their efforts on signing Son Heung-Min ahead of the summer transfer window, despite his eagerness to see Harry Kane swap White Hart Lane for Old Trafford. Tottenham Hotspur's deadly duo have enjoyed a tremendous season, and have helped Antonio Conte's side push towards Champions League qualification. Son and Kane have featured 32 times alongside one another this season in the Premier League, directly contributing towards a combined nine goals between the two of them. They first welded a relationship in Spurs' frontline in 2015, and have since become the all-time record holders for most goal combinations in the league ahead of Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba. https://www.football.london/tottenh...-news/antonio-conte-handed-son-heung-23978376
