Newcastle were interested but Hazard only will play for Chelsea in the PL. His entitlement is through the roof and he should be grateful that there are clubs out there still willing to give him a chance. He's in zero position to be picky imo.

If he somehow gets his form back, we will be having a crazy attack next season (including Mbappe). Enough shitting on him, let’s just hope he gets 100% and gets his confidence back.

Might be a Bale reverse lol. First years shity, last years his best

We need to get off his wages, especially if we give Vini a new contract.

The guy is done. Even at the most he can offer he's not a starting lineup quality player for us.

It's been if's for the past 3 years now and Hazard himself admitted he'll never be the same player. Even if he recovers 50% of his form it's still not enough to justify his wages.

Don't see him uprooting his family now to live in Newcastle or something. Best hope would be he stays fit and contribute as a rotation player like Kaka did in his 4 years here. Maybe the metal plate being removed will help him psychologically.

There is simply no possible way Hazard 'returns to form' at this age, with the physical and mental damage the injuries caused him. Florentino has to try to stop the financial bleeding in any way he can.

The bad thing is that his name will not allow him to just be a rotation player. Guys like his national team coach will always create undeserved hype in the media and the discussion about him being somehow wronged in Madrid will start all over again.

Him being completely unpresent and giving only bullshit statements about his situation make this a Bale v2 situation.

I wonder what the ratio of articles/news/updates to goals is for our beloved Eden

    100 to 1?

If Marca ever leaks anything internal, we know who gave them the info.

by the way, this whole "he feels great and ready" thing has been sent to the guys that write for the club on Marca's staff time and time again, but the moment he's engaging in serious contact he's like "nope, not today" and is immediately out of it.

You can't tell how you can handle the contact until you face it.

Yup, if he does get any mins before the season is done as i said before i expect him to be tiptoeing around out there, and IMO, if you can't play full on, you are a hindrance to the team, fullstop.

Hes nothing like Bale in terms of respect to the club. Its clear that Hazard feels more attached to the crest.

In Bale’s defense, and I don’t agree with him, but he has more of a case to feel entitled and have a chip on his shoulder. He feels he has earned more than what we have given him.

Hazard is just happy to be along for the ride and getting paid handedly for it. Not really comparable situations.

They are both big names that failed to deliver for years now, but Hazard is more humble while Bale has treated the whole thing as a joke.

Yeah Hazard loves the club so much and was biting his nails in the last minutes in the ucl last year as well when he was laughing with his Chelsea teammates when they kicked as out.

I don't know. Bale came here and always felt like he should've been the main guy instead of Ronaldo, and never justified that through consistency, availability, or even performances. Not trying to compare the two, because Bale gave us a lot even if both sides are bitter at this point while Hazard literally did nothing. Bale should be compared to Benzema, and while one adapted to Ronaldo then became a Ronaldo after he left, the other was bitter the whole time Ronaldo was here, then didn't step up after he left but feels like we should be kissing the ground he walks on.

Bale is a good player, but he is Di Maria, Higuain tier in this clubs history. Benzema is up there being compared to Gento and Raul, while completely endearing himself to fans the whole way.

Joins during Ronaldos peak and then in his second season goes up to Perez to prrssure Carlo to play him centrally. Literally in Carlos autobiography.

Bale has behaved like a straight up dick. Hazard on the other hand, accepted that he is in no position to make demands, so even when he was fit and Ancelotti didn't play him, he didn't complain, which he could have with his star reputation. In short Bale was a primadonna and Hazard wasn't because he was more aware about his decimated state and status at the club.

What comparison. One has contributed to the team winning trophies, the other cheerleading....
Give me Bale over this fraud.

    I agree with @Akramzizou

I don't know why Bale is compared to Hazard. They are nothing alike besides getting paid handsomely for no production.

Bale should be compared to Benzema.

Hazard should be compared to Faubert or something.
