Hearing rumors Tony Amato could be taking the assistant coaching position that just opened today at University of Cincinnati. Seems odd but i guess you never know.
Seems really odd when you consider how much money they are paying him on the way out the door. But, he may feel like he needs to stay in the game right away.
I don’t believe that rumor is accurate the position has been verbally offered to someone and the process is just being followed to cross the t’s and dot the i’s. Would be quite the dream team with Amato and Anagnost though lol. If Amato is being paid out by Florida it may be quite some time until he resurfaces in the college game again.

Huh? The AD said they were paying him out his contract. If you mean gullible that I responded to a post saying he is taking the Cincinnati assistant job, I did not say I believed it. Just that it would be a surprise. Your response, candidly, does not fit with what I wrote. If you intended to make me look bad, I think an appropriate word would be backfired.
Ha! From my understanding the position is being accepted by someone who does not have a questionable background.
so Neil was wasting his time/being disingenuous sending an email today to the listserv to find a candidate?
Not at all. He needs a backup in case something happens and the goalkeeper coach he is planning on hiring falls through.
Darn, TA squared would have been a spectacular combo at Cincinnati. The players would have cherished every moment.
add Matt Kagan and Keeley Hagen to the staff and you would have the dream team of all dream teams. Think of the millions of dollars in lawsuits.
Maryland, Georgia, Kentucky, and Texas State are all terrific hires. USC and UCLA most disappointing hires the cycle. Two premier destination programs with ho hum hires and were capable of far more if they put the time and $ in to the position and attracting top candidates. Hoping they can prove me wrong.
Why is Maryland hire a “terrific” one? I’m genuinely curious as I don’t know anything about her. The rest I agree, and since I am somewhat connected with USC, I would predict Georgia will do well. I too hope those two LA schools will do well. UCLA should. SC, I don’t feel nearly as confident. P.S. I was asked by a friend for her daughter about college ID camps in the area but oh my… UCLA charges $350 for 6 hours. Actual playing time is what 3-4 hours max?? I didn’t realize inflation also affected ID camp cost.
ID camps are ridiculously priced. UCLA's is absurd. Especially when we all know UCLA is not really recruiting many players out of those.
Has? Still is. Look for a father/son coaching combo & then look into the son's previous history. It won't be hard to find.
Charlotte has had Luke Sheekey running the program this spring as interim head coach. The players like him and want him in the job, from what I've heard, but given how late we are now, it's starting to feel like something may be going on. He's English, so it may be a case of figuring out the work permit/green card stuff, and that can take time.
The Ben Waldrum hooking up with the womens soccer athletes at ND is well known. Sometimes it helps when dad is a big time head coach.
Florida, heard Heather D. was yet again one to top name and candidate being considered. Not expecting her to accept. Zoo administrations running people off
Daughter's club coach told me this morning he heard the head coach at D2 Embryo Riddle is the new HC,. For what it's worth
