Goff has already reported DC has three European based players on their DP short list for this summer, @shawn12011. And that doesn't include Bale.
More DP's is their best shot. They'll try and flip Flores out somehow this summer, I can see it happening if Flores is amenable. Get two more Taxi level players, or close to it, and they'll make the playoffs, it's that simple.
Taxi ain’t played in July yet. Let’s see that he doesn’t wilt first before demanding xeroxes. Thx, Jay!
Roche has a new PitchPass episode that is a 30 minute conversation with Chad Ashton. Very much worth a listen. Two salient points: 1) he does not dispute the Seitz tweets and says there were other problems of a similar nature that were bubbling up. To my mind, this seals the deal on why Losada was dumped and I completely agree with the decision. (Although it should have been made during the offseason given that the Arriola issue arose then and folks knew of the problems between Seitz and Losada.). Ashton praised Seitz as a good pro and good human being and used it as an example of what he meant by "having fun". 2) Ashton explained the Open Cup disaster and put it this way -- DCU has 3 MLS games next week and the roster (as depleted by injuries) dictated the lineup he put out. Completely agree. As Ashton pointed out, Aaron Long went down in the game, how will Red Bull feel if he's out for an extended period? On the injury front - Hamid is good to go, Najar hopefully will be back early June (so probably after the FIFA break). Roche implied that his conversations with Ashton will be a semi-regular occurrence.

Just catching up on the Losada conversation. I'm wondering if maybe he saw the DCU job as his jumping off point for a big job, and dialed his already strict training regimen up to 11 in the hope of getting a great season or two out of a middling group of players, then moving on. Is he a fitness freak himself? Just like former great players seldom become great coaches because they can't understand players who can't do what they could, fitness freak coaches can't understand why others can't take the punishment that they enjoy.
Can you share who Roche is and what the media/blog/podcast is? Great scoope for them whoever they are! Thx
