All the tickets are from the FCFS. Had the whole family trying at the same time.

This is good news! Basically they're making sure you'll be in Qatar and not hoarding reservations (like some tend to do when there's no cancellation penalty).

    Right!
Everyone focuses on what FIFA could do but people aren’t thinking about WHY would they cancel tickets. FIFA has no incentive to cancel thousands of tickets. If they do stadiums won’t be full, they’d also have a world of trouble with people asking for refunds and fighting charges with their CCs and banks. That means customer service issues, investigations, submitting proof of policy violations and challenges to banks. Multiply that times tens of thousands, it’s just not worth it. FIFA cares about selling tickets and showing full stadiums, anything that deviates from that is an unnecessary distraction. Do they want touts? Of course not, but they won’t go out of their way to prevent it.

If/when they release hotels I'm gonna change mine then from the cruise ship haha. Really would rather just stay somewhere close to a metro station. And I wouldn't have to stress about making use of the full value of the full board for cruise (since it costs a ridiculous amount more compared to just having the breakfast)

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Passport number is actually NOT a good ID method for them to use. For the following reasons (and maybe others):
    • They expire (an email address doesn't)
    • They change (the one I have now is different from the one I had when I applied - just got my new passport a week or two ago)
    • They are self-reported and unverifiable (The 3rd party FIFA contracts the ticketing out to most definitely does not have any sort of integration with the 190+ different government agencies they would have to in order to do verification)
    • Historically, they have not checked passports. While this could certainly change - I *highly* doubt it.
The one and ONLY piece of information that they have on you that is easily verified is an email (they could do phone as well, but don't as yet).

    THIS!
*Could* FIFA hire a company(s) to improve/implement applicant de-duplication methods? *Could* they implement OCR, ML, AI and all sort of other buzzy terms to make the process infinitely more difficult to game?

Absolutely. But why bother? As it stands they can boast of overwhelming demand and record application numbers and all the while collecting those big $$$'s. Not to mention how many fewer of those $$$'s there would be after they pay the overinflated rates they no doubt would to implement the aforementioned changes.

The policies make sense. They are there to combat the touts and thieves. They provide cover for if/when they do need to punish someone. It's kinda like a mattress tag (I know, not really - but stay with me for a moment); it's illegal to remove, but do you know anyone that's ever been prosecuted for it?

I don't know why so many still focus on multiple accounts and the rule's of tickets...if your worried about being caught then simply don't do it . And if your not bothered work away

I guess because the same questions and answers and theories have been posted every single day, usually multiple times, for the past few months. I haven't seen a scrap of new information since March regarding this subject.

What is the benefit to logging in to multiple accounts in the FCFS? Can you not all log in to the same one?

Just trying to get my research done when inevitably I get nothing in this ballot!

I landed a TST 7 Canada on account 1, a TST 3 Argentina on account 2 and a TST 7 argentina on account 3. The other accounts I used to purchase individual games. In FCFS you were prohibited from adding additional games on TST7 accounts. (It was before the draw). For this FCFS, you can't add round of 16 and beyond if you have a TST7.

I said on here before a friend had to visit the ticket centre in London to get his final ticket as he had 2 UEFA accounts and his account became inconsistent. He even bought a new phone and new SIM and no joy. I do appreciate UEFA and FIFA have different apps.

Old phones are definitely the way to go in my book particularly if you have tickets in the name of your uncle Fred who is not in Doha. I also appreciate that some on here did login/logout for the Arab Cup without an issue,

I must of missed this part of the discussion. I'll load my main account with the Hayaa card on my personal phone and the other accounts on burner phones with the corresponding emails. Great tip like always !

Well to play devil's advocate, they don't need to check at the gate. All FIFA would need to do is prior to each match, run an algorithm checking that each ticket's passport number needs a hayya card, otherwise don't issue the barcode. Will they do that? I very much doubt it. But it could be done. The way I look at that particular concern is to see what the feedback in for the first day or two of matches. If they initiate a quality control, you know that you will need to update passport numbers in the system. Problem solved. Of course, they could then run an algorithm to check for passport numbers with incompatible matches. OUCH. But as most agree here, they won't likely do that. If they do, I and lot of other people will be looking to sell our 2nd daily matches real fast!

Agreed. Their rules are most likely to screen well in advance and not close to the matches as that would cause all hell to break loose. BUT, they could screen well in advance and force tickets to be defaulted well in time for them to be purchased legitimately. But agreed it's not likely.

LOL there's no new information because we're in the speculation stage. My friends and I will spend 10s of thousands of dollars on this world cup, so FIFA being able to screw us simply by following the rules they publish obviously concerns some of us.

Lol, right now we know for a fact they’re not even checking your ticket application name to match your Hayaa card application. Some here have found a hack; the application numbers are sequential… just add a 1 to the last digit and … voila! You can book acomodation and be issued a Hayaa card… “algorithm” ? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: … sure, FIFA has a “plan”… it’s called the “Let’s play the games in half empty stadiums” plan.

FIFA's plan has never changed, since their foundation 1904.

It's a plan called "greed for money". As long as they stick to that plan - we're fine.
