Last time we saw him in midfield he was solid, it's been two years. Well if he wasn't playing RB he's probably not defending a legendary MLS striker on a back post cross. Notice, skahan or remedi weren't there defending it.
I really wish the players on this team knew anything about defending. Just an endless stream of terrible decisions.
I'll be clear. Tommy as a RB was a wacky Almeyda idea that had its moments in a possession heavy system, but has never been his natural position.
Saw the replay, espinoza didn't do TT any favors by lagging on the play he could have been deeper knowing TT had drifted in the middle of the goal. But as RB and Rmid TT and Espinoza need to cover/mark that side of the goal. Everybody should be aware defensively, but I don't think that play is Skahan's and Remedi's bag.
Yes, I knew what you meant. My point is he's not good enough to be a winger either, which is why he got out as a right back in the first place. And he's even worse there. He should not be on the team at this point. He's never going to reach a point where he deserves playing time.
The final score is: 2 (9) - (10) 2 GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G P.S. = Please don't post results of other soccer (including MLS) games and other sports' games in this thread until at least 24 hours after they've ended.
9 to 9 through 10 kicks...ridiculous.... Ha! thank you Matt! stopping theirs and converting yours...truly epic...you will not be forgotten!
"It's only the THIRD TIME Seattle has gone down at Starfire"... Not too long after "It's the first time Seattle has ever blown a two goal lead, having previously won 128 and drawn 1"... It sure is nice to have Seattle's number in the post-Almeyda era!
