He's salty that Floppy didn't let him join Atletico.

Raul had alot of heart and hustle, he would press and track back. Maybe his scoring suffered because he was having to do the running/defending for two other players while no longer being the focal point of the attack. He and Beckham may not have had the talent of Zidane and Ronaldo but you could never question their effort and commitment.

Raul's celebration was after he began to find form again. I saw it as a way of telling fans he's still the man.

Raul lost form because IMO he wasn't a Messi and CR who aged well despite being one of the best in their position during teenage years. Instead he was an Owen (ironically the guy he benched). Peaked early and lost it when he should be approaching the peak years.

He stayed in the line up for the sake of Madrid being a global brand but always had a Spanish captain.

Euro 2008 was a good check into reality. They won without him and with a new gen emerging. Aragones was not as kind as Perez which is what Raul needed. Tough love.

Literally, fans were waiting when he would retire - it was said that he had a contract for life and he was playing consistent until his last season like 30 plus game - it is really scary to think raul as manager for first team with all that history

The personnel at the club now wouldn’t allow that segregation to happen again. We’ve moved on from that.

Raul wouldn’t last very long if he brought that shit back into the locker room

This isn't true. The team always takes on the personality of the current leaders and manager.

Castilla are 12th right now. Granted it may be a down year for talent but he’s not doing well as a manager.

I believe we have a lot more intelligent players in the squad to avoid that even being an issue.

I think even Raul realises now how much of a stupid captain he was to even let it happen back then.. the whole Spanish division to the rest of the squad in the locker room

Zidane didn’t do well at Castilla either.

I’m judging no manager who coaches a B team.

Guti was supposed to be the 2nd coming of God for what he achieved with the youth teams.

Don't think so. He just did not have a connection with RM. Fans don't miss him and he doesn't miss the club. He has no obligation to say he will root for Madrid. His friendship with the Liverpool player probably means more than his time in Madrid.

Same with the Salah comments, I truly appreciate players taking a position instead of giving robotic answers.

Good for James. I hope this becomes a trend.

Thats funny because its not true. He was 6th in Castilla's first season in the 2B division, then left them halfway in a season they finished first in.

Carlo when asked who will play in the Champions League final: Rodrygo or Valverde? “Both will play in the final”.

    Smart :D

Foreign journalists and fans angry because this throws off their flight schedules, but I feel like the two days rest for the team are a good thing.

Happy for fans in the US, kind of silly for the allure of the match up, but that's the business we're in now.

People flooding stadiums now and the club hasn't had a big summer payday for a while.

I’m in the Bay Area so it sounds appealing, until you realize it’s Vegas in the summer. Even with the Allegiant stadium being climate controlled it’s still gonna be scorching outside. Might have to pass on this one.

I just think you water down rivalries if you start playing them regularly in meaningless matches.

If the club makes good money out of it who cares, it’s not the worst way we could go about earning ourselves some cash.
