The ball was going back post and he swung with the near post arm which is the way it is taught. He planted and drove with his left leg and the right arm is the correct form. It was a good header going back post, it happens. If he was a few inches taller or had a bigger vertical he might have had it, but form or positioning didn't appear off to me.

Personally, I thought all the goals were quality goals. Sometimes the other guy is good. Now two posts is more of a concern, but that's often as much on the defense.

We have lost and tied plenty of games where we hit the post multiple times. Saturday night was our turn to benefit from it.

A ball that hits a post or bar, usually is a very difficult save. That is the risk/reward of the shooter and if it sneaks in you tip the hat to the attacker.

Congrats to Eloy Room for being so well trained as to not dive at a ball that is going to hit the post. What a keeper!

I would guess that after you've faced thousands of shots in games and practices that you develop a pretty good idea of what you can get to and what you can't.

Tell me you've never been a keeper without telling me you've never been a keeper.

True but i would cite that his range is limited and his confidence in himself or lack thereof speaks volumes

Steffen and other top GK in MLS past are nothing like Room.

You will sometimes even see guys like Blake & Steffen get their hands on balls that were near the goal but would of missed.

Room is slow and we must let him go

Bez extended him in another of many bad moves . Not Molino bad but not good

Steffen is making over $3,000,000 a year at City and comparing Room to him is silly season talk. I don't want to even think about paying a keeper as even a DP. Room is a serviceable MLS level keeper who might make $50-$100K more than he should. GK is not our biggest risk or issue as a team, probably not even close.
