It’s going to be a shit show. Feyenoord and Marseille fans were terrorizing their respective cities over the 2 legs.
When was the last time we actually won at the Franchi? I can remember a 1-0 win with Mirko scoring the winner and that’s it. Surely that’s not the last time!?
March 3, 2021. 2-1 December 20, 2019. 4-1 November 5, 2017. 4-2 October 25, 2015. 2-1 7 times since 2010.
Fair play. Ahh, I remember the 4-2 game (Gerson double?) We’ve had a few disasters over the years hence the question.
Nah, our record is generally, as highlighted, pretty good against these whinge bags away. They walloped us in the Coppa a few years back under Montella though....that might have skewed your thinking a bit. Can't say I'm too confident about winning this tonight though. Hope I'm wrong. Should probably start a few fresher legs in this one.
Fiorentina have lost their last three. Roma haven't won in their last three in Serie A. Look for them to hold onto possession and try to get the ball to Nicolas Gonzalez - he leads them in touches inside the box and assists, and is second in chances created behind Biraghi. They haven't figured out a way to grab goals without Vlahovic, but I get that feeling that Cabral will have a very good 2023.
Fiorentina are very good side, very strong playing out of the back. Italiano had a point to prove against Napoli. He wanted to impress ADL and he did. Spalletti didn't go in brave enough and we lost to them twice because they played to outscore us, a very brave approach. Italiano would love to have Mourinho's scalp and get into Europe. Roma needs to be brave and get men forward. A handful getting forward won't do and if Fiorentina start kicking the ball around too easily, Mourinho will have to agitate his players to press them hard so Viola don't feel they can dominant the game and play with confidence.
And why do you care? We're gonna be Europe Champions soon so to hell with the 4th, 5th, and 6th spot.
