The 2nd goal of Rodrygo remind me his goal vs Galatasaray at the Bernabeu with the head (which he scored 3 goals in that game).
I think he can be much more deadly for us as free role or 2nd Forward as Raul played together with Ronaldo (The Brazilian), Morientes and more.
Look at our 11 starters Vs Juventus in the final of 97-98. We used to play more attacking style.

The attack dragged this team to a league title and a CL final. However, Our propensity to concede goals at an alarming rate has to be remedied. We just cannot continue like this and expect Benzema and Rodrygo to bail this out.

Militao and Mendy need to play the best games of their lives if we want a 14th CL title. If they play anything short of their best, we will struggle because those two plus Kroos are our achilles heel.

Liverpool play a lot of excellent crosses into the box. Trent especially, but both fullbacks cross well and they have good height on set pieces. Militao especially needs to be on it because the rest of our team are not good at aerial duels. We can’t have a situation where Modric is marking Van Dijk.

I’m looking forward to seeing Trent vs Vinicius. Will be interesting to see if Trent stays back or if he tries the Dani Alves strategy of pinning the winger back by attacking all the time.

We all know TAA will attack, and he should because he might as well, he can't really defend 1 on 1 that well.

Am worried about crosses into the space between Carvajal and Militao. KDB and Foden had plenty of fun exploiting that space, and TAA is excellent with his delivery and Mane is excellent with his runs into the box. They also score a good number of set pieces, and our set piece defending is trash no lie lol.

In 2018 they looked gassed and we completely took over because of the Pintus method. This year they probably don't have the same problem, Klopp heavily rotates and has a deep squad. We have only lost two finals the whole time I have been watching this team, and they were both CDRs and both very unlucky. This team wins finals, my money is always on us.

The two goals he scored will make him a legend here.

Yet I dont like what Rodrygo offers as a player. He is boring to watch. Definitely lacks that Brazilian flair. His play is very simple and yet somehow (effective) in its own right. However with Mbappe coming to join forces with Vincius, Fede and Camavinga I dont see how he will fair out with more explosive players.

We've seen Trent vs Vin before, he tried to pin Vin back by attacking initially but after getting burned the first time he changed his ways and stayed back more, and even then it didn't go so well for him, we'll see how he fares in this one

Or maybe he's so good at it he makes the difficult look simple, everyone spoke about Luka's cross in the Chelsea game and rightly so, but that finish was not remotely easy IMO

You couldn't have watched him on the left vs Osasuna and then claim he lacks flair. He's been getting switched to various positions while still being so young and has been making massive impact in limited minutes. Both Vinicius and Rodrygo were given important responsibilities at just 18 at RM where the pressure is the biggest and people expected a lot without considering their inexperience. How will he make an impact with Mbappe and Vinicius? By finishing the chances they create from flanks.

I don’t care about “flair”, only elegance and effectiveness. Kaka was also not flashy but very elegant and effective. I don’t find that boring.

Agreed. If anything, I'm impressed at Rodrygo's game on the RW. Not because he's excellent there, but because he's a natural LW (with every required to a superstar in that position) who is actually able to contribute as a RW. Believe it or not, those positions are significantly different and requite a completely different game and mindset. It's one of the reasons why Vinicius has never been able to even make a minimal impact on that side. Put Rodrygo on the LW for a season and you'll see a completely different and better player. Unfortunately for him, we already have another young star there, and one young superstar on the way.

Indeed the example is right in front of us, Vin was explosive (flair) from day one, but we still wanted more from him, we loved him then, we love him more now

Rodrygo is funny when he talks about the goal scoring instinct.

And Kaka never worker out at Madrid.

Entertainment is a key factor in a player's long term career in any big club, especially attackers.

Not due to lack of flair but lack of pace and acceleration (effectiveness rather than spectacle) - the injuries hobbled him.

if you looked at Cristiano, he was great to watch when running past players and shooting, and annoying when he was standing and doing “flair” dancing and step-overs in a standing position.

Adopt the kid to play centrally already. His finishing is so smooth.

    We don't need Haaland.

Haaland needs to be monitored in last games in league that remain..from what i have seen he isnt the same haaland like 6 months ago(before injury)..could be a risky buy

Sometimes when I put in my two weeks notice I just stop caring and my performance goes down. I'm not sick, I'm not depressed, I'm just way less involved.

    Yeah basically this.

Dude knows he is gone out the door and his club is playing for nothing. Just shows how terrible (and powerful) these media and Twitter liars are...

Haaland is nice and all, but with the emergence of Rodrygo and the likely signing of Kylian, I don't really see the urgend need for Haaland unless we are talking about the fear of losing out.

If he comes, great, but I would like to invest our money on more urgent areas like the midfield and fullbacks.

Left 5 Cadiz players behind and found Mariano in between two more defenders.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when a player like Mariano celebrates a goal off on his own like this, instead of going to celebrate with the creator.

I know he hasn't been super involved and probably huge for him personally, but come on, that was Rodrygo's goal in every way but on the stat sheet.

I know exactly what you mean. It's great to celebrate but I think that kind of solo celebration is only when you've scored a much needed winner. I find it cringe every other time they do it.

Here is a good example in Arsenal v Liverpool in the UCL. Theo Walcott made a crazy solo run then squares to Adebayor and it's funny how everyone runs towards Theo as he did all the hard work, except Adebayor, who only joined in when he turned around and saw only no come followed him
