Wow he is on fire. I think he is now under environment where he feels quite comfortable in terms of language, food, and culture. That helps him perform well, game in and game out. But he still needs to improve his stamina to get shot at KNT though.
LSW on fire again. 3 goals in the past 3 matches. Best performance so far imo. should've got at least 3 assists. His teammates are terrible.. He should get called up next time over shitty players like NSH.
Nice to see LSW doing well. I think this coming EAFF could be a real boost for his career and confidence. Anybody who follows Kleague have any insight on Cho Gue-sung? I like him for the NT and I saw that he is leading the Kleague in goals. However, 5 of those goals are penalty kicks. How good is he? Also, how are the oldies doing? Lee Chungyong, Ki SY, Koo JC, Ji DW, Kim BK, are they all washed asf? It's a shame about Ji's career - the dude, if healthy, had so much unfulfilled potential and would have been a great partner with Son had he had a chance.
Cho Gue-sung has the ability to win the ball in the air and create spaces for midfilders to exploit. Paulo Bento has been sold on to such strength and deployed him as a lone striker during absence of Hwang Ui-jo. CGS seems to be more clicking with SHM than HUJ at times. As for oldies, LCY is the only one that deserves the shot to book his ticket to Qatar on November. His pace at his current age of 33 is still amazing. We all know how technically this guy is sound. He can bring so much intangibles into the table. JDW has to be the biggest disappointment among the players you mentioned. I have several buddies that root for FC Seoul and they are all upset about JDW being non-factor.
Just booked the ticket for the Suwon Derby this weekend. I hope he can continue to show off his dancing skills lol.
Good stuff. I’m not a fan of HUJ as a starter for the reason you mentioned. Doesn’t mesh with Son. Pisses me off to see Son playing deep to “playmake” for HUJ. Ji DW’s situation is sad but I think he has no cartilage left in his knees. So unfortunate
LSW's elbowing that caused red card against Gangwon FC was nothing but brainfart. He was being on the way to where we had all expected from him. Due to EAFF break and suspension, he won't get any playing time over the three weeks. Considering his fitness level that he cannot spend full 90 minutes as of now (has to do with sitting on the bench too long during his stint at Belgium / Credit to Suwon FC boss Kim Do-kyun's proper management on LSW's playing time), this could kill his momentum. He is actually a leader in goal scoring without penalty kick.
It seems like Seongnam is almost close to relegation. To add salt to the wound, the City of Seongnam is considering closing the operation of the club due to "improper management". (Which I think BS)
Final A Ulsan 66 points Jeonbuk 61 Pohang 55 Incheon 49 Jeju 46 Gangwon 45 Final B Suwon FC 44 FC Seoul 41 Daegu 35 Gimcheon 34 (Scored 39 goals) Suwon Bluewings 34 (Scored 35 goals) Seongnam 25
As for K-League 2, Gwangju already topped the competition with 4 games remaining, meaning that they will be promoted to K-League 1 next season. Daejeon, Anyang, and Bucheon already clinched the playoff birth while battling for the 2nd place finish that will get them to play against 11th-placed team from K-League 1 in the two-legged final match up. The remaining playoff spot will be handed to one of these three clubs: Gyeongnam FC, Chungnam Asan FC, and Seoul E-Land. Playoff A: K-League 2 Runner-up vs. K-League 1 11th placed team. (Two-legged series) Playoff B: - First Round: K-League 2 4th placed team vs. K-League 2 5th placed team. (If tied after regulation, 4th placed team advances to the next round.) - Semi Final: K-League 2 3rd placed team vs. Winner of the First Round (if tied after regulation, 3rd placed team advances to the next round.) - Final: K-League 1 10th placed team vs. Winner of the Semi Final (Two-legged series)
FC Seoul is now in trouble as their recent form is in serious decline. With healthy Cesinha back on the line-up, Daegu FC now has a great chance to survive.
Both Suwon Bluewings and Gimcheon will likely end up with playoff spot given their remaining schedule and recent form.
