“Well I was a bit shocked to find out that Ovebro could not come on to ref this match for us, but you know…there is always favoritism for Real Madrid, so we know that and plan for it, so we asked if Busquets could come and do the pretend to get hit in the face routine or Dani throwing himself into a summersault, all with the intention of getting a red card for them to balance out the injustice, but you know… I can’t say anything in fear of retaliation, but I will be filing a formal complaint about the grass here… it was unacceptable, and I will have a commission led by Xavi to help get to the bottom of this.

But despite our meager resources, we fought well, but we cannot compete with a Club that has so much money to buy players and distort the transfer market or pay such impossible wages. Hopefully we can find some loose change in the dressing room sofa to get our transfer budget for this summer. We are just a small humble club and it was not my fault we came up short handed in this tournament again….maybe I can get Doc to fire up the Delorean and we can bring Messi back from 2012, so you never know about these things when it comes to football. Cio, Cio,thank you so much - you are too kind to me, I will blush if you say more.”

The articles on SPORT today are so hilariously salty.

I love how they ask a red for Casemiro while completely ignoring the City guy who hit Modric in the face then fell on the grass like a b1tch.

Barça should be the last team to talk about ref decisions in Europe. Culés suffer from some kind of retardation I can't quite explain.

Winning la 14a in the same season Barça gets eliminated from CL and EL would be glorious.

Sport will do what Sport does, but it's crazy the narrative that the game was all City till the 90th minute. Benzema and VJ could've scored 4 before the hour mark. Then right before the Mahrez goal VJ had 2 bad touches that could've lead to one on one's.

Most of the analysis post-game I've seen was so bad that they even used the stat of 0 shots on target from you guys till the 89th min as proof Man City dominated the game until then. It's mind boggling how these people analyze the game. I thought 1st half was more or less 50/50 even with Man City having more possession. 2nd half you guys were better until the 1st goal. Then, frankly, Man City looked very comfortable until Rodrygo scored the 1st goal. In ET you guys were in complete control and Man City had nothing to offer.

Yea, shots on target argument is dumb. Vini missed a very good chance without even hitting the target and Benz had an attempt in extra time from outside the box straight at Ederson. By their logic, Benz shot on target was a chance and Vini miss wasn't?[emoji23]

The narrative is Pep = Joga Benito, EPL = brave valiant dominant, and anything will be skewed to fit that. They absolutely dominated the first leg, and we had no business being only down a goal. But second leg, it's crazy reading even the neutral perspectives on this.

Given the reaction to Atleti's game last round, you would think Foden, Laporte and Walker acting and rolling around would've been called out.

Crazy action going on in the Europa League and Conference League.

Rangers score 2 in the first 25 minutes to take a 2-1 aggregate lead over Leipzig.

West Ham red card 19th minute and now Frankfurt has a 3-1 aggregate lead with a man advantage. They should be in to the final.

Roma take the lead on Leicester. Mourinho with a foot in the door in the Conference League final

Two things I take away from today's results.

    1. If Mourinho ends up winning the conference league, this for me restores his legacy has a coach. The only place he hasn't won a trophy would then be Tottenham; the club that fired him weeks/days before a cup final.
    2. So much money in the Premier League but time and time again, their mid table teams fail to win the European competitions. The only ones to win the Europa League recehave been Manchester United and Chelsea, and we all know the competition isn't for clubs of their size.

Happy to see Jose be successful at Roma. I think he’s still got something left to give as a manager, and he’s probably at the right club for a little while. Wont be shocked if he’s able to win something this year, and build on it next season with a few transfers and finish top 4 and go far in the Europa league.

He may resurrect his career yet.

I point out earlier. Mourinho can become the first ever coach to win the CL, the Europa and the Conference League.

How fortunate are we that players like Neymar and De Gea never came to Real Madrid, despite keen interest from Florentino Perez.

There is a saying that "sometimes things happen for the best.". Instead of a crybaby diva like Neymar Jr. our club got Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo goes, because Flo had a fear of missing out on the next big Brazilian youngster. Courtois to me is hands down the greatest goalkeeper in the world right now. De Gea is a shadow of a player that he once was. We missed out on the latter and fortunately got the former at a bargain price.

Florentino Perez deserves credit for rebounding well from disappointing transfer sagas. Even if we miss out on Mbappe, I trust Florentino would find Real Madrid the next great superstar.

If they'd have the stomach to succeed, they would have joined us. De Gea wilted under public pressure and had his girlfriend giving interviews about his career.

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp said that Real Madrid's comeback against Manchester City was "incredible" and that facing Los Blancos in the Champions League final is his "destiny" after what happened in 2018.

"When we lost the final in 2018, my solution would have been to play another final the following year against them, but it was against Tottenham. This seems like destiny",

"It was strange and unfortunate for City , but what Madrid did was unbelievable. They managed to get through against PSG, Chelsea and City. If you throw those three out, you definitely deserve to be in the final. It will be a great game."

"I am happy to play the final and to have a chance to win the title. But before that there are several games to play, so it would be nice if the questions about Madrid stopped until then. We will work on the final from 22 to 28 , not before ,"

John Yems leaves Crawley Town after allegations of racist behaviour

    • Manager had been suspended and was under FA investigation
    • As many as seven Crawley players reported Yems to the PFA
    • Yems was suspended indefinitely by the League Two side after the accusations came to light a fortnight ago.
The allegations, which were first reported by the Daily Mail and have not been independently corroborated by the Guardian, include reports that Yems:

Referred to players of Asian heritage within the squad as “terrorists, suicide bombers and curry munchers”.

Created a racially segregated dressing room, with white players told “don’t change in the black boys’ room”.

Made racial slurs about black players and players of Asian heritage.

Yems has not commented publicly on the claims but is believed to deny them.
