Tracking IP address is the most unreliable way to discard application due to NAT and private/public address used inside offices and ISP's. 10-20 people can apply from a single office, with same IP, because public IP's will always be the same. There are other ways though
I'm booked in the same building. It's got good access to the metro too, looks like Al Mansoura metro is about a 10 minute walk away which will be very useful for us.
Some I think had it for the Arab Cup but it didn't work properly due to the sheer numbers. I would not count on it given the multiples of fans that will be there for the WC. Note you do not need WiFi or a working SIM to access your tickets. Just bluetooth is required. I bought a local SIM and used that with hotspot to my Irish phone as my roaming rates are really high.
What's a good pre paid Sim card to use over there? Need one with around 40gb data for about 2.5 weeks? Any recommendation on cellular companies from personal experience?
To be honest, for me, I would just activate my roaming and use that instead. Seems like a cheaper option for me.
Yeah, that's why I chuckle when this topic comes up every month or so. But hopefully we all get our way in this next round of tickets.
They will all have wifi. My experience in Russia was that if I got there really really and connected... the service was good. If I logged in with the stadium half full; it was terrible. They were probably capping connections; but connecting early worked for me.
Every 4 years it's the same pattern with the British media. in Russia it was the roving gangs of Russian thugs walking around the city beating people up (never saw any). In Brazil it was the favelas folks and drug lords kidnapping and robbing tourists in Rio (never saw them.) At least this is just beer-mongering.
I know you said you'd just activate your roaming (as will I). But for any others that check out that site: The info, at least for T-mobile is either out of date or just plain wrong.
No worries here … that quoted price of £5 per pint is less than half of what it costs at any MLS game
Yeah in Russia I connected easily (did arrive early too thinking about it) so was hoping for more of the same. Cheers
There are only two companies ooredoo and Vodafone, both are expensive for a tourist. So right now i will not recommend both. Hopefully by November, they will have some kind of tourist SIM. Connectivity wise, Ooredoo is better
Hmm, for Russia 2018 I remember T-Mobile gave US customers free LTE overseas. Not sure if that was plan-based, or given to everyone? They usually do have really good connection overseas at no extra cost. Worst I've gotten overseas is 4G.
