No I'm not but the apps felt different. Most of the application processes are pretty standard anyway.
You can put everything back up for sale on the FIFA resale platform - details not available yet. You can also give your account to a friend if you cannot go. The difficulty with the main applicant ticket not being transferrable really hits if you only want to attend certain games and want to share your tickets. This is an anti-tout measure. I suggest reading back on this thread.
Ahhh dont worry. I am applying only for the first Brazilian match, you can take all the others And if one of the extra accounts get Brazil x Serbia, and if you need a ticket, I can transfer it to you.
It's not worth it. You can make all the accounts you want, but realistically, there will be millions of apps in this phase. The odds still aren't in your favour. I do think people are overthinking it. I've submitted an application for the ballot phase but I'll be pleasantly surprised if I get anything. Better off with the FCFS phase when all the applicants who haven't paid are filtered out.
I'm about to purchase my accomodation soon. Heard from some others that they have difficulties with their payment going through. Quick question, would I need to pay with the card I used to purchase my tickets or I could use a different card? Anything else that I would need to be aware off?
Did anyone mention previously some luxury accomodations (not hotels) managed privetly and outside fifa accomodation platform ? Someone who has the budget and ready to pay the price is asking me. @vibrantcolours did you mention previously something like that ?
I did that and got the result i described. Will call QA and sort it it if necessary. Seems a bit odd. The bigger issue was the price for flights between Abu Dhabi and Doha. Does the Gulf not have an equivalent of EasyJet?
Don’t know. Didn’t check. Just booked there for the first 15 days of the tournament. After that will be more space available elsewhere when half the fans fly home. Starting to feel the excitement already.
I haven't mentioned anything outside of the FIFA accommodation website. In the coming soon section, there is one in west bay, one in Lusial , and couple of apartments in Musherib Downtown that looks promising. Considering the location these could be expensive the links below. https://www.qatar2022.qa/book/en/detail/57509/3404-Mushaireb-3-Apartments i think there are around 6 similar type listed https://www.qatar2022.qa/book/en/detail/57447/2727-Al-Dafna-61-Asas-West-Tower https://www.qatar2022.qa/book/en/detail/57525/2378-Lusail-69-Apartments And of the current listed ones i feel this is the best one around for location and price compared to rest https://www.qatar2022.qa/book/en/detail/57420/3786-Al-Sadd-39-Al-Mirqab-Suites-Complex
My thinking is that I will be, touch wood, watching a minimum of 1 match per day for the group stage. No point having luxury accommodation as I will barely be in it. Latter stages, then will be by the pool/beach.
Thanks dude Hes happy to pay up to 1000 usd / night so hes only looking for confort. Will try to help him I have checked the qatar2022 website, but did any accomodation mentionned full service, breakfast / dinner etc ?
People keep saying on the forum that not being able to change the main applicant is an "anti-tout" measure, but what prevents a tout from buying, say, 4 tickets, selling the other 3 and eating the cost on the 1 (or going themselves)?
Not sure mate, i just sorted out them since many people were asking. The only one will be the Cruise Ships, one of which is rated 5 star, which will have full board and around his budget. So far, until Pearl accommodation get listed, Apartment wise, Mushireb Downtown is the best option when it goes live, there are countless good dinning place here and its just an underpass away from Souq Waqif, which has several other. You will get an idea of the layout from here https://www.msheireb.com/
There were some big price drops in Qatar Airways flights between Doha and Dubai that I was watching. I was able to cancel a 3-times more expensive set of flights with layovers in Muscat on Oman Air and replace with Qatar Airways direct flights for $200 USD total! This is for December 2022.
Will there be merch stores around selling jerseys? Cuz my coworker is looking for a portugal one for his son
Just a question: on your 50+ different accounts, did you apply for 2 tickets for each match you want, or just 1 ticket? You have to apply for 2 tickets, right? So that you can transfer the 2nd one as a guest ticket to your main account with Hayya/accommodation, and the 1st ticket just goes to waste. Because if you just apply for 1 ticket on a "fake" account, then you can't transfer it, it's locked to that account, right? So when using the "fake" account strategy, you must apply for TWO tickets for each match you want, otherwise transferring to your main account that already has Hayya becomes impossible. Is this correct?
I know you talked about it before, but do anyone know if it will be different for accessible tickets? i booked tickets in the first phase and want to add in this one from another account with the exact same information, just different email to other games in the same days. do you guys think that it is too risky in my situation?
As long as they have access to the email address for the account, they can always log in and out of the FIFA ticketing app as needed. So if they’ve got 1 ticket for each of 6 matches and every ticket is in a different account, they simply need to log out and log into whichever account has the ticket for the next match. Or bring multiple mobile devices to Qatar. Easy.
I applied for 2 tickets, because it is the number of tickets I need (me and my wife). And why transfer the tickets to another account? They are for my own use, so I can just log in to the fake account when going to the matches. I actually used my own name on the fake accounts, only a different email and passport number, as I dont believe FIFA will crosscheck and eliminate suspicous accounts from the lottery.
