Seems like everyone is doing their own thing; some submitting multiple applications under the same name, email, address etc and only different passport (which I assume can be changed afterwards?), some submitting applications under a different account etc.

I might just play it safe, use my own, and then buy the tickets I don't get during the next phase, is it difficult to do during the next phase of ticket sales?

Does cluster (Barwa Barahat Al) reservation come with a free parking spot?

It worked fine once inside the country. I got a local SIM which made life easier. Nobody had the grey status that I heard of. I'm only aware of green and red.

I needed a PCR test to travel. We were all tested the morning after arrival but that did not go on Ehteraz afaik. I paid for a private PCR test as required to return home and that did appear on Ehteraz.

Well those are the rules they've established. Personally I think we should take them at their word. But there is a good chance they only screen the ticket applications and not the actual fan at the gate entrances. However, as I said elsewhere, they have all the tech now to enforce whatever they want and we have zero recourse because they've laid out the rules very clearly up front. If I had to bet I would say they won't cause such disruptions, but I am cognizant of the reality that they easily could as all ticketing is electronic and fully indexed.

I hope you are right because I would like to go to a couple of same day matches at 6pm and 10pm.

I actually agree with you, but again it would not be difficult to stop you from transferring a ticket to a guest who is already is attending an adjacent match. All of this can easily be done with the software. But i repeat I don't think they will go to that effort... as you suggest.

I think they are worried if large numbers want to rush from 1 game to another. So they restrict ticket sales and then live with a smaller number who do it anyway. Thanks for sharing all your insights at the Arab Cup.

Thanks again. Of course the World Cup will have well over 1 million visitors while the Arab Cup probably had tens of thousands. Scale matters with all the things they trialed. Regardless, I found your video very helpful.

Whew that is a big relief - thanks for your insights! That sounds more manageable. To confirm however, if you do test positive you must quarantine for 1 week correct? So for a World Cup visitor it seems not wise to get tested unless you are quite sick. I think that is reasonable but of course it allows for the asymptomatic spread of the virus.

If you live in Qatar, what is the general mood about dealing with covid during the World Cup? Inshallah?

Ticketing just sent a mass e-mail for people to check their accounts. Apparently some people are doing so - site is very slow. Assume technical error for the next few hours. If it persists, please let us know.
FWIW - it was able to "find my account".

Ha see you there mate - same plan for me except on the 4th I am only going for 1 match as I think Al Bayt is too problematic. But on the 3rd, 5th and 6th I definitely doing both if I can get the tickets. I'll be at all the Canada matches, including the QF against Brazil LOL.

So a different phone for each successful application might be the safest route? Until we learn of a ticket printing option

limited enough. Decent prices though. The shawarma was nice in Al Bayt and in a couple of other stadiums. I heard the burgers were poor.

Sounds about right. In my experiences attending World Cups, Euros, Olympics, and other big events, planning to eat anything at the stadium is planning to not eat. Fond memories of half the menu being unavailable, running out of beer in Brazil before kickoff, the longest lines you can imagine, etc.

What they should do is bring in some food trucks for the fan zones outside the stadium.

Yes I know, but dont Think there is a room for one person only? Is there? It seems like they are all minimum 2 person rooms. Thought it Would be a Nice Way to save some money on the accommodation. I aint gonna stay at the apartment throughout the Day anyway

Hey what is everybody's thinking about the 4 stadium packages in terms of success chances? It would seem to me that they would have to fill those first before individual draws take place, otherwise one could never get those packages (not all matches would likely be available?) Curious if folks have good success with such a package application?

Did you have to pay under the name of the main applicant?

Alright I know this question had Been here like 1000 times, but im going to ask anyway, since we are close to deadline:
Right now I have no tickets so no main account. If I apply from 4 different accounts, all with different passport Numbers (1 real, 3 fake), and I get s ticket through one of the fake accounts. Will I then be able to change the fake passport number to a real one (and change the real to a fake) before paying for the ticket? Sorry I know you have discussed this thousand of times. Just want to be sure
Or should I just use the real on all of the accounts. Even if I get succesfull on 3 of the 4 applications, im only going to use one of the accounts anyway

My understanding is that you cannot change the name and birth date of the applicant but you CAN change the passport and address within the same country. If you submit 4 applications using different emails but all with the same passport number, you run the risk that it is filtered out, even though some were successful doing this back in January. So my advice is to tweak your name in each application but close enough to still be valid with your cc company, but use different passports numbers and addresses. Or better still, each person in your group (that will physically attend the World Cup) should make their own duplicate application using their correct info. I think that is the consensus...

Yes. I did it in lottery 1. Now, may I suggest more than 4 applications?

I am going alone, therefore I cant have others applying.
And I am a little afraid of tweaking my name a little bit. Because as i Said, I Will only need the one account, and that name is going to be on my Hayya card and accommodation booking. So I dont Think I Can change my name
The adresses I have changed since tickets are Electronic

Cool, so you changed your passport number before paying?
I was thinking about making more than 4. I was just afraid that I could be busted, since I have used the exact name, exact telephone number and exact passport number (which I probably Will change, since you said its possible to change again)

Yes. You can just make up any info. For any one game in group stage you are going to attend, ask for 2 tickets. This way you have a guest for at least one match. After being selected, change the guest name to your real name and passport. Use it to get your hayya and accomodation =).
