“Weak” Six – Reality Heading into the sixth week of fantasy play there was but one clear leader in the head-to-head. My evil plan of calling them out was clearly too much pressure and now we have returned to a 6 way tie at the top of table. (YOU ALL GET TO GO TO EUROPE!) Of course there are 7 players that are only 3 points back from that group… so game on! Fantasy Moment of the Week How do you lose to Miami…. How do you let an inept side have a hat-trick Hey – Where there’s a Bruce …. There’s a way Miami 3 – Revs 2 Leo Campana with the Hat How many called that? H2H Division Closest Game – There may have been close games, but I was unwilling to do math. This is the one that mattered anyway – and what a nailbiter it was! Blowout – Wetmore FC has the fan Bodhissing at this result! I’m sure someone will care watch Fantasy League Game of the Week for Week 7 – Wetmore FC 15 Points – Takes on CrewNation94 12 Points And with CrewNation94’s willingness to pick AGAINST the Crew… this could be wild! And as CP would say… “We need more Edge”
Wow the wheels have fallen off my teams glorious start. Guess setting my team on Monday then forgetting about it doesn't allow for those midweek scratches I seem to keep drafting.
You can call me Kyle Porter this season, I keep putting out a winning team but they keep getting unlucky!! Not my fault *shrug*
Week 7 - Postage Stamp Special The field at Yankee Stadium may be smaller than this ground... but it wasn't the only thing that was a postage stamp on Sunday Oh look we found it. pic.twitter.com/3zsSP14SWv— Real Salt Lake (@realsaltlake) April 17, 2022 In fact... the only thing smaller than the field and the championship banner... was Real Salt Lakes Chances at winning that game... Shameful display is behind me. At least that is what I keep telling myself. Maybe I can get at least 70% of my player selections to take the field this week, that might help. Getting 3.5pts per roster slot won't get it done. Forgetting to update might have been better for me last week. I'll likely continue the tradition of dropping a guy the week before he gets his hat-trick. Pepi and Castellanos were both dropped by me a week or 2 before they cashed in. Hopefully I chose better this time around.
Week Eight – Goals! Goals! Goals!!!!! (Unless you support the Crew or former Crew Associated Commodities) There were thrilling matches all over the league this week… Of course…. Most of us probably didn’t watch too many of them… DC 3 : 2 New England San Jose 4 : 3 Seattle NYC 5 : 4 Toronto Also some blow outs Tiny Loons 3 : 0 Ezra Fire Queso 3 : 0 VanWho?ver Large Purple Cats 0 : 3 Energetic Cattle Meanwhile the Columbus Crew continued what Caleb Porter refers to as box to box dominance in securing a scoreless draw in a windy, then stormy, then not windy Saturday night in Kansas City. When looked at for information/commentary on the game on the Crew’s website… the recap included a grand total of 131 words and not statements from anyone. By contrast this week recap has already had 147 words…. And referenced 30 goals…. But whose counting? Fantasy Moment of the Week Despite being owned by a whopping 0.47% of all MLS Fantasy Teams - Cristian Espinoza Hats Off to lead San Jose to a 4-3 victory over Seattle. H2H League Closest Game - Under Achiever's (possessive much?) does the near impossible and has secured their second fantasy league TIE of the season. Most Impressive! Week 9 Preview Week 9 begins Saturday, April 30th at 1:30 PM with another Texas Duel - Houston v Melted Cheese No one has multiple games this week. Fantasy League Game of the Week - Typhon Inc vs. Over Easy Eggs in what may be an early season elimination game for the Eggs.... Will Will The Crew Score? DC has scored a number of Own Goals for the Crew over the past couple of seasons .... so there's hope right? Right? Oh well. Good luck fantasizing everyone!
I am going to need it as my skill is decidedly lacking. If you'd kindly select 3-5 guys on the injured list or suspended, I'd appreciate it. Then I won't need so much luck.
Fantasy Tip of the Week Always Choose Players with Red Dots This means they are "On Fire" and are likely to score more points this week Additionally there are yellow dot players This indicates that the Soccer Gods think there is a chance that this player may "catch fire" this week. Green dot players should be used only as a last resort If you must use green dot player, always make sure there is a blank area in the circled area shown above. This indicates that the player will be able to score more points in a given week as he will not have to attempt to play against another team trying to stop him. This has been your Fantasy Tip of the Week™ Come back next week when we discuss why your filters should always be set to a max value of $4m Good luck! Your Commissioner, SLSHOT01
Anyone else having difficulty accessing the MLS Fantasy Page today? Probably has something to do with Facebook for me... Neat error though
I've reached out to the Fantasy League e-mail box for support.... feedback@mlssoccer.com ... Not liking my chances to get that fixed. I'm guessing that this has to do with a combination of my new Windows 11 Laptop and the fact that I was a lazy idiot and linked my login to my Facebook account... If anyone else that can get it wants to have a go at putting together the recap this week have it - I go screenshot happy off the web access on the fantasy bit - and I don't feel like putting it together with my cell phone screen. If the "feedback" e-mail gets it fixed for me I'll get to it as soon as I can.
A Tie! I was begging for Vela to score. I figured he was on your roster based on who you had left as that match started. I was 5 points back from you with Vela as my captain. He scored 5 points, I got 10 and we wound up TIED! Well, on to the next one.....

Week 10 Preview RED ALERT WEEK 10 STARTS WEDNESDAY MAY 4TH at 7:30 PM Cincinnati and Toronto both have two games this week (double the chance for negative points!) There are no obvious fantasy matchups of the week. So here's to us all screwing up and getting upset this week! Good luck!
Week 10 - Big Wins (and losses) This was the week of the Head to Head Fantasy League Blowouts! Six teams achieved triple digits in fantasy points leading to enormous winning margins. Others had impressively low point hauls. This week was more lopsided than a two legged cow.... Fantasy Moment Of the Week FC Cincinnati wins two games and dominates the Fantasy Team of the Week with 6 players. Perhaps even more impressive though - Toronto, who also played two games this week, failed to get a single player into that team of the week (which is based on total fantasy points scored by the player in that entire week). H2H League Biggest Blowout - Wetmore could have sent out an MLSNEXTPRO inspired roster and still gotten the W this week.... Closest game - Few and far between for close games this week - save one! No teams have two games this week so feel free to sell off those Toronto players! H2H Game of the Week is Put up or Shut Up Time for me! Section 207 vs Gocrew1996 Good Luck All!
Section 207 and their heavily Cincy flavored team punished my TFC laden squad. What a mistake that was on my part. We had 3 players in common, they had 4 DNPs to my 2 and I still got doubled up on. Back to the drawing board.....
Yeah I don't know what was going on with TFC this week. Had two of them on my roster that went straight DNP.... I also didn't see NYCFC not playing Castellanos this week. Side note - I do not pick my fantasy team players with my heart. I loaded up on Cincy Trash because that's what I thought would give me the best chance to win... and then hoped for them to burst into flames while actually watching the game. Probably why too though I haven't had any Crew Players on my roster for a few weeks now.....
