Bay Cities FC plays at Sequoia High School, which is the second closest high school to me. My kid doesn't go there, but some of the local schools feed into Sequoia and I know a bunch of kids that go to Sequoia from my kid's Scout troop. The stadium is walking distance from the Redwood City Caltrain station, and there are a number of restaurants and a nice beer garden (Gourmet Haus Staudt) within a couple of blocks.

Bay Cities has only ever played 5 games as a club...Bay Cities plays in NISA, a league I've never heard of, they've played only 3 league matches, ever. never won. their only win came at PayPal vs Monterey Bay in this same tournament.

Worst style of possession coaching on display right now. We keep working it into great, clean crossing opportunities yet continously pass it up to keep knocking it around doing nothing with the ball. It's so pretentious, as if crossing the ball is for Neanderthals and we are above that. Test the goddamn keeper and Defenders to get them scrambling.

While I was typing that: skahan with some sauce on the goal

When the other team puts 11 behind the ball it's not going to look pretty. Now things will open up.

At the beer garden? It doesn't seem like there would be enough room there.

Dos a cero. It's like these guys aren't MLS quality.

Edit - I meant Bay Cities, not us.

Doesn't seem like BC will get a shot on goal. I think we might win?

My favorite soccer cliché... 2-0 is the most dangerous lead to have...

Halftime. The announcer said that SJ had 80% of the possession in the first half.

Because they just pass the ball around in the back. Even against this lackluster midfield they are not trying to penetrate thru the middle or do anything entertaining.
