Zaniolo is 22 coming off major injuries. Relax.

His best position (so far) is in the middle. Unfortunately, we seem inclined to just write that spot off to pellegrini. I'd still like to see Lorenzo in midfield with zaniolo as trequartista (or whatever the closest equivalent role is for the day).

When he's in the middle driving forward with the ball, there's an edge and effectiveness that I haven't really seen since kaka, though zaniolo is more power than kaka's elegance.

Yes Zaniolo can not play that wel with his back to goal as a striker in the 352 (although he gets murdered on a consistent basis). But in the 3421 he can play as one of the supporting Forwards. He already showed that under Fonseca. Don’t be dense.

Arsenal are close to what I think would be a dream signing for Roma, Ruben Neves. He’s valued around 50m, I think if we can swing 45 for Tammy, maybe we could work something out for Neves. Mourinho would finally get his CDM and could turn this guy to the best in the world at his position.

50 million for Neves is just absurd, way better deals out there

Would you sell Tammy for Scamacca and Raspadori?

Would you sell Tammy and Zaniolo for Scamacca, Raspadori, Frattesi, and Lucas Torreira?

Veretout declined an extension making 4m net asking for 6. Thank God we didn’t sign him to that.

He's not disciplined enough to be a Mourinho defensive mid, nor is he creative enough to fill in for Pellegrini's role.

    Linked with Fratessi & Schouten.
To replace Veretout and Diawara would be a hell upgrade.

Villar is doing freat in Getafe too, still thinks he worth a 2nd chance from Mourinho, boy is second to only Mkhitaryan in creative play.

    Pellegrini Mkhitaryan Schouten
    Fratessi Villar Cristante

Bove and Darboe needs to go out on loan to grow. Maybe adding into Frattesi deal to follow the path of Pellegrini and him.

What kind of player is Schouten? Is he more defensive minded?

Trying not to get too excited here, but Solbakken seems to be gaining some traction here. Would be a phenomenal signing considering the price (his contract is up in December). We’re getting nothing off the bench from Carles Peres at the moment, so swapping him for someone with quality would be huge.

Watching the Conference League game and wondering how much better we’d be faring if pinto hit on more of his signings…

    Good:
    Abraham
    Patricio

    Bad:
    Viña
    Maintland-Niles
    Eldor
    Bryan Reynolds

    Too early to tell:
    Sergio Oliveira

I'm not even sure we can say Eldor is good or bad since he actually looked pretty good in the few matches at beginning season when he played regularly. Strikers hardly ever look good when they play 20 minutes after sitting for weeks.
It really surprises me he hasn't at least gotten a start here and there to know if we need to sell him and buy another striker this summer. With all the other.moves to make it would seemingly be better to not add rotational striker to the list.

Maitland-Niles was, I suppose, simply insurance since it would seem that idea came Mourinho being familiar with him. Kind of a waste of time though.

Oliveira was a good loan but i am a bit sceptical of paying 13m for him and probably bigger contract as well. Still I'd say it was a good loan without knowing what the other realistic winter options were.

At some point, Pinto's going to have "hit" on some younger players Sabatini style to have much success here. You can only go so far with decent but not great veterans like Oliviera.

Regarding Eldor, it’s more so a bad signing than a bad player. Considering the price ($20m), that could’ve been used to have secured a proper CDM.

You are so dense. The funds that we wasted on Vina would have went to a midfielder. Spina tore his achillies though.

Not sure how that makes me dense but ok. Viña was a necessary signing, just turns out he’s shit.
