I was nervous about playing City but honestly we can beat them if we get our tactics right and Ancelotti doesn't waste precious minutes on players who should be on the bench.

 

We should still be nervous. We have gotten through on the world-class play of a handful of players. Anyways, we all know what it will be come game time... just have to hope for the best and hope Ancelotti makes the substitutions earlier enough.

I remember how Varane was my favorite defender until Gabriel Jesus mentally broke Varane. Varane basically threw our 2nd leg against City and sabotaged us. He never fully recovered from that and we had to let go of him out of necessity. Eder Militao and Alaba need to remind themselves of what happened to Varane so they don't make the same mistake. Don't play like you're afraid and be ready for the physical intensity. Chelsea already warmed them up. They need to keep the same concentration from the first leg. Carvajal and Mendy need to get their acts together.

 

At the end of it all, Benzema scored 4 goals in the last round and Man City scored one. Our defense will certainly concede more than a single goal against City because it is awful, plain and simple.
