I don't think we're going that far. I think Lautaro is good enough to win with it's just we'd feel a lot better if there was another option if we need it. Depth is important.

Thoughts on Lo Celso/Foyth/Rulli today? Missed the match. Would be thrilled if they could somehow knock off Liverpool.

Lo Celso emulated Riquelme, leading the submarine into CL semi. Only watch highlight and he's involved in the build up for the goal.

Congrats to all our players there, hopefully they could go all the way.

Pretty insane achievement to knock out Bayern. Emery is a good coach and really understands lo celso

    Lo Celso was brilliant
Rulli could have done better on the goal, but decent
    Foyth was good

I can see Foyth getting another minutes in upcoming friendlies. Slow start for him this season, even got a red , but if he could keep up his recent form he'd be useful as Molina's back up, since Montiel hasnt been consistent recently.

Lmao Higuain scored almost 300 goals in europe, you can't compare him to those muppets.

I Julián scores even half of that he would feel accomplished.

Someone is going to defend mr.hattrick of misses or tevez, both with 300+ goals in their career:D

Icardi also had a great career at Inter, twice serie A top scorer and registered 6 hattricks there, tied with Bati , only one behind Crespo with 7 :D , but we all know each of their story with the NT lol

De Paul and Correa on the bench in a critical match for Atletico. Another masterclass from Cholo.

    Now watch them win this.

It's not like they're down a goal and need to score or anything...

Unbelievable disrespect only a self-sabotaging egomaniac can pull this move on his own countrymen. I am calling it treason.

Jesus Christ, what an awful game. Atletico is down in the tie and Cholo starts with 5 in the back.

The sad thing is that atletico dominated the second half.

Dude he's not gonna bench Griezmann or Felix to start Correa, let's be realistic. They are worth 100M each and are the franchise players.
And De Paul is rightfully in bench, his performances haven't been great. He's more busy fighting opponents than playing football.

Anyway, Correa was pretty good in the minutes he got.

Nah disagree with your take they changed the game when they came they should have started but Simeone has no idea how to manage a balanced side

And he wasn't the one fighting today.

Griezman is below trash he isn't even worth pennies at this point and felix is the most overrated player in the world bar none. He really is all hype this kid never delivered and never will.

De Paul is starter especially in this atletico midfield

Felix sat on the bench for the first couple of years. It’s not until this season, where he’s been a regular starter. Griezmann is past it. Correa was a stellar early in the season when he started. He still is.

I don't think you guys quite get what my post meant. I know that Correa is producing more than Griezmann, I'm just telling you why he still won't start despite that. No club sits a 100M player in bench unless he's completely busted. Much less a club like Atletico that can't throw 100M away like it's nothing.

Perhaps Cholo secretly hates Scaloni for not picking his son... So he did the same thing to Scaloni's players.

I fully understand what you’re saying. I’m just pointing out that Joao was sitting on the bench regularly at Atletico. Event his year, he’s made 23 appearances in the league and he’s started in 12 of them. The same for the last season. He played in 31 league matches and he started in 14. If you’re going to start him in the CL, that’s fine and understandable. But the Frenchman? He’s not the player that he was once. Hell, I probably would’ve started Suarez before him.
