People are talking out of school and jumping to conclusions. Neither the Nordecke nor NRI is responsible for the demise of the Grandview Yard tailgate.
The company that is giving the club millions of dollars for a shirt sponsorship deal, when in no way, shape, or form does it actually make sense for them financially to do so, is not on our side?
So who is? Not that I really give a shit; I was never going to attend anyway. They can dig up the lot and plant petunias for all I care. I'm just nosy.
I appreciate your inside knowledge, but you did just tell us this was much about nothing and move along there will be a tailgate April 2nd. Lack of communication and clarity leaves people up to their own conclusions.
Oh, I completely agree (which is the main reason why I'm running for Nordecke Communications Director). On March 15th, when this first came up and TK went on his rant, we were assured by the Nordecke Board (in the Slack) that there were some details to be worked out and that an announcement about the 4/2 tailgate would be coming soon. I relayed that message here. Apparently, I was either wrong or misinterpreted the message. My comment about people talking out of school wasn't regarding Big Soccer posters but rather the Reddit user who blamed Nationwide, as though they're the bad guy. They're not, by a long shot.
I wasn't going to, but I will re-up my membership this year to vote for you. Communication has been atrocious and needs to be revamped. LMK when the election is.
The election is going on now (at this link, you'll need to be logged in to vote), and is open to 2021 paid members. 2022 membership isn't available yet. And thank you for your support.
Thank you for the link. I've tried to vote three times now and couldn't find where. I hope whoever wins those contested positions stays dedicated even after a few months on the job.
Yeah, after going to the website and logging on to my account, I couldn't find anything about the election anywhere. (VOTER SUPPRESSION!!) LaMacchia's link got me where I needed to go. (Vote harvesting???)
If clearly communicating the voting process helps me get elected as the Communications Director, so be it.
I would ask you to change to membership dates to fall in line with the season or calendar year. Want to join and would vote for ya, but no dice.
This is absolutely a high priority for me, should I be elected as a board member. Being a member of the Nordecke organization should be as easy and logical as possible, with clearly defined benefits no matter the location of the member's seat or residence. I appreciate the support, though.
https://www.nbc4i.com/sports/mls/sensory-rooms-offer-inclusion-at-columbus-crews-lower-com-field/ So it seems like the new sensory rooms will finally be open tomorrow. They'll be outside section 120, between the River Club and Nordecke. The placement is a bit curious. If there's two of them, wouldn't it make sense for them to be on opposite sides so that one side of the stadium has one just about as close?
Or, they could just turn down the music, a bit.... [yes I do realize the need for this--but tuning down the noise would help]
