The dilemma is that both Machin and HH play more defensively for their teams and allow the other 2 CM push up and move the ball forward. One of either HH or Machin have to sit down and Mexico has to play with two more offensive mids. HH was that guy but he's better now at staying back and moving the ball to the other mids and forwards from the back.
I don’t agree with that all. Herrera can play as a box to box or deep lying playmaker. You just need someone better than Charly to play in a more advanced role. Charly has been MIA (and Tata won’t sit him) and that’s hurting us a ton. Herrera and Edson have not been an issue.

Mexico is lacking a midfielder with a little more speed and who has he ability to take long shots/passes similar to what Guardado did for us. To me that was gonna be Cordova but he took a dip in form an instead of transferring abroad he transferred to Tigres bench. That’s the one type of player we need. Guti is a slow ass player who also plays DM at PSV, he’s not a solution. If not Cordova, hopefully Orbelin can figure it out at Celta cause we need that type of player in the midfield.
