I read his autobiography when I was in High School. His story was the basis of this "6 million Dollar Man" episode. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0702107/
Did you know that the very same enzymes that a caterpillar uses to break down plant material actually dissolve the very same caterpillar into a LIQUID when it’s in the cocoon... then the cells somehow rebuild themselves into a different creature with wings .. So it starts off as a solid .. changes to a liquid in the cocoon and then changes into a different solid !!
I wrote this before. The title "King Charles " is considered bad luck in English history. Charles I was executed and the first English king to die that way. Charles II started his reign in exile because of Cromwell. He was known for his hedonism. The name "Charles III" was actually used by Charles Edward Stuart when he was the pretender. Of course, he was defeated in battles and the Stuarts never grained his kingdom. Several non-British kings also used "Charles III". For example, there were Charles the Simple and Charles the Fat. I seriously doubted that they were great kings.
Of course, there was also Charlemagne. And Charles the Hammer, who was able to make most of his problems be nails
Dillon Ruble and Garrett Jensen, both engineers at Boeing, broke a record last December that had only a little to do with their day jobs: They broke the record for farthest flight by a paper aircraft, sending a sheet of paper 88.318 meters, or almost 290 feet.
Jacques de Molay was the last Grand Master of the Knights of Templar. he sentenced to the stake in 1314 during the persecution of the Templar by King Philip IV and Pope Clement V. At his execution, he was said to have put a curse on both the King and the Pope. he said that they would have to answer to God within the year for their crimes against the Templars. Both would die within the year 1314. King Philip's 300 years old House of Capet would collapse within 14 years of the curse.
If I was sentenced to burn to death I would be putting curses on everybody and their f*cking mothers, for sure.
Do you want to live forever? If so, there’s some good news. Or so it seems. For it appears that we may have taken a step closer to making immortality reality. In a recent meeting at the National Institutes of Health, Yale neuroscientist Nenad Sestan revealed that his team has successfully reanimated the brains of dead pigs recovered from a slaughterhouse. By pumping them with artificial blood using a system called BrainEx, they were able to bring them back to “life” for up to 36 hours.
A factory from the Spanish town of Aielo de Malferit created a drink, and in 1885, they brought it to a trade fair in Philadelphia. The name of the drink was Kola Coca. A year later, John Pemberton invented Coca Cola in Atlanta. Coincident? The rights for this Spanish drink were bought by Coca-Cola in 1953. The factory continued to produce an alcohol version of Kola Coca. They
Did you know the Twitter bird has a name? It’s Larry! The infamous bluebird of social media was named after former NBA player Larry Bird, who used to play for Twitter co-founder Biz Stone's home-state team, the Boston Celtics.
Did you know that when leaving the grocery store with your left arm full of bags in the pouring rain in a new Armani suit you're wearing for a job interview in 15 min. the odds are [like 10-1] your keys are in your left pocket.
Okay, this brings up way, way more questions. Wait, why would you wear a new Armani suit to the grocery store? Why would you go to the grocery store before the interview? Why would you not use a shopping cart at the grocery store? Cars still have keys? I guess my "old" car has a key. My new car just has a fob, or I can open the car and start with the app on my phone. Everybody knows you should show up to your interview early (usually 10-15 minutes early). I was on a panel discussion two weeks ago talking about employment strategies and one recruiter/HR person stated "When going to an interview, if you are on time, you are late. Always arrive early."
