Going to Qatar 2022: tickets, accommodations, etc. (non-politics)

For all of you buying TST-7 tickets, are you really planning on spending a whole month in Qatar? That seems really expensive given the high price of accommodations and kind of boring when not attending games.

If you get bored or run out of money and want to leave early, I will be happy to buy your ticket(s) to the Final.

 

Do y'all know if we can change the billing address for the order? When I was checking out, the billing address seemed like it was fixed for the persons account I was signed it with

 

I’m starting to see hotels listed. No availability or prices yet but that seems promising. They had no hotels listed this morning.

 

Tried this earlier in the day and it didnt let me use today's FCFS ticket number. Anybody got any success later? Now I'm again waiting in queue to see hotels if any available.

 

I booked very near to that place in 4121 umm ghuwailina! Sounds like a lot of the early bookings might be in these two/three apartment buildings.

Also sounds like the incorrect date email is a common issue. I saved my booking and did screenshots just to be safe.

 

When signing up for the Hayya, where can I input the address of where I'll be staying? I won't be booking any accommodations as I will be staying with a friend who already lives in Qatar but it looks like anyone who is signing up for the card internationally won't get it automatically issued unless if you have a place to stay.

I entered and the first option read USD 798 and I said "For 7 days, that is a good deal".

Then I saw the price was per night.

 

Anyone who has bought tickets not containing TST in this round been lucky with accommodation? Wondering if maybe the TST tickets aren't able to book rooms yet as they are technically still ''Conditional'' until next week when the draw has been made?

 

The team must first qualify, If it doesn't then you get a refund. You get a ticket to each of their group games. If they are eliminated at that stage you follow the group winner. You get one ticket for each knockout round making the other 4 tickets. If the team you follow gets knocked out before the final you follow the winner of the match. Its possible to follow a number of teams if they get knocked out on the way. You get a guaranteed final ticket, ie you don't follow a team to the 3rd place playoff.

Just have to hope & pray we qualify in June.

With regards to accommodation, I'm concerned there will be no availability in June which is when our WC Play Off is scheduled for.

Was there ever any accommodation in the fan villages posted on the site?

I looked for the 1st time earlier and only saw Cruises, Villas + Hotels.

Im concerned it might be a case of flying in and out from other countries for games if the cost becomes so extreme or lack of availability!

What's everyone's thoughts on this? Viable?

 

Nope. Individual match tickets here from today. Cannot book accommodation.

 

that's a good question. My plan is to come the day before the first US group stage match and stay until they are eliminated. Maybe go somewhere else in between and sell the R16 and QF (but I hope the US goes that far) but come back and attend the SFs and Final. Of course this all depends on the US qualifying! The next 7 days are HUGE.

 

I see people saying expensive acomodations.. what are we talking about in dollars per night?

 

I got a apartment villa for 5 nights $1850. 2 double beds. I think it’s good.

 

I was finally able to get back into the accommodation website to check my booking and the dates are correct. I have not received an email though.

 

You can purchase more than 7. I managed to get 12 games over 12 days on one account. In later phases I believe you can buy a different game for a day where you already have a match ticket for another game (as long as they are not back to back)

 

I just got back in the Que and went to the payment part...I completely missed the "click" option above the section where it had a VISA and OTHER payment square...

Sucks. Im disappointed they even give you an option at the bottom square to enter your VISA card when the option above is the "secure click" option. You'd figure payment woukd gk thru since you have to enter the card information regardless, both top and bottom.

 

Anyone who bought tickets today tried applying for the hayya card? I´m having issues with that. It says that my match number is not linked to my passport number.

 

Mine is exactly the same albeit for an apartment. A friend booked separately and had the same issue.

Website is correct email is a day early both ways. I am sure they will sort it out. I had emailed them immediately after seeing mine. I was worried when I saw my email but no concerns now given it seems to have happened a lot.

 

What's the logic behind today's individual match ticket purchasers not being able to validate their ticket application number for accommodation?

Has this actually been confirmed to be the case or should I assume it's an issue on my end? Have contacted Technical Support but awaiting a response.

 

Hi all. I just logged again after standing in queue. Weirdly the TST page is back up again, though many of the countries are now unavailable. Single games are still available, with most in orange and a few in green. Makes me wonder about demand. I can't remember what it was like in previous FCFS, whether there were these many tickets available 12 hours after it opened.

 

Minus the Mex TST I'll be at the same matches

 

I got the TST3 for Wales group games,if they don’t qualify are the tickets valid for the team that beats Wales?

 

If they don't qualify, the application will get cancelled.
