I didn't see most of the first half but he was pretty active, especially on the break as RB Salzburg pushed for another goal in the second half. They didn't score again and he was subbed out in the 83rd minute.

They are thru to the finals after extra time and penalties. Aaronson made his penalty, and I assume ran a full marathon over the course of the 120 minutes.
A nice interview with Kicker: https://www.kicker.de/aaronson-im-i...ch-etwas-kaltschnaeuziger-sein-894633/artikel
Aaronson not on the gameday roster today--and Salzburg only have 6 players on the bench. Hope he's ok.
Yikes or no? Last-minute change to our starting XI ‼️ Brenden #Aaronson had to pull out due to knee problems, unfortunately - and Nicolas #Capaldo will start instead. #WACRBS pic.twitter.com/qCnYnDoZwi— FC Red Bull Salzburg EN (@FCRBS_en) March 20, 2022
***k me. I've been running out of guys the US can't replace. hopefully it's minor and he can still play in this US window.
dammit. BREAKING: Brenden Aaronson's injury today picked up before the Salzburg game today will reportedly prevent him for playing in USMNT World Cup qualifiers, per @Meg_Swanick.— USMNT Only (@usmntonly) March 20, 2022
From @USMNT: Brenden Aaronson will indeed travel to US Camp. He is coming in.— Stu Holden (@stuholden) March 20, 2022 Stu Holden disagrees, says Aaronson is traveling to the camp.
ok... I'm holding off on these until the dust settles.... From @USMNT: Brenden Aaronson will indeed travel to US Camp. He is coming in.— Stu Holden (@stuholden) March 20, 2022
I don't think any of us can conclude that at this time. I'd guess there's a possibility he plays, or else what's the point? Cheerleader? USNT doctors want a look (but only to determine if he can play IMO)?
if RBS thought Aaronson was too hurt to travel or play later in the week, they wouldn't have let him go- and GGG wouldn't bother bringing him in. this is s--t or get off the pot time, not team-building time. GGG needs every swinging, able bodied package available to get results to qualify for the WC, or else what team chemistry are you building?...for 2026? and there are few guys more valuable than Aaronson right now if he's healthy. He'll get a thorough look-over by the US doctors, and proceed from there.
The place to talk about the roster is there. There is also a YA thread there. If you want to start a thread dedicated to BA, have at it.
