Still football to be played and an important match. Newcastle much better of late and not the easiest fixture but one we need to win to keep the top 4 pressure applied.

Will be plenty of talk about sanctions and punishments around this one, both those in effect and those that are mysteriously absent.

    COYB!

Amen on that last bit. I've already heard it described as 'Bonesaw FC vs. Bombing FC' which is 'sub-optimal', shall we say :(

Eddie Howe is doing a nice job. They look far more organized than the first half of the season when they were abject. Wonder if he will be a big enough 'name' to stick around.

Being kept at arms length in the early running.

Well that was EXTREMELY depressing, worst half of football for entertainment I've ever seen, I DON'T blame the players though, this whole business has been hard on them, the crowd is soooo 'down', its misery, I feel 'violence' bubbling below the surface. I feel compelled to see it through, if ever the team needed supporting its now. Newcastle are still sh*te, they're 'tactics' are hardly inspiring. God awful match.

Pulisic on for Timo? This might even be a game for the battering Ram that is ROM. Nothing at all from our wing backs. Nothing creative coming from anywhere really.

btw - Surely Mohammed bin Salman should be under scrutiny? I mean that bloke is totally dodgy. Human rights activists, women's rights activists, journalists, former insiders, and dissidents are systematically repressed through tactics including torture, jailing, and killings, and bin Salman is said to use a group of assassins known as the TIGER squad to carry out extrajudicial killings

I mean seriously WTF --- His ownership of Newcastle is acceptable to you Alan Shearer?

I've been looking, a few years ago we used to get 100+ posts for every game, now were lucky to get 25! Everything is soooo depressing! I hope that at least a few of you guys will 'stick around' over the next few years.

No changes at the half, which I feel is a bit 'disappointing'.

Rudiger is our biggest attacking threat so far.

What a touch!!! Amazing finish to the game. That's what it's all about. Give the boys some confidence and something to play for. Keep it going!

We deserved 3 points for 2 reasons (none of which was the overall standard of play) 1. Playing under such an incredibly heavy cloud & 2. That incredible finish from Havertz!

Oh and of course the press are claiming Havertz should have been sent off and Newcastle were denied a 'certain' penalty - both of which are complete bollox!

1-0 to UK government FC. Another 3 points in the bag. Hopefully we can get rid of the current owner and get someone in who's not an international pariah, preferably a chelsea fan for obvious reasons. I think we need something of a change of attitude for the team and that might do it.
