Had I a daughter or niece, I'd consider it. But with this level of competition? No, thanks. And I might feel that way about the men's team given that same level of competition.
If it weren't the same time as a Crew match I'd give thought to those ledge seats at $100. That seems like quite a deal.
Seems like it (from the website): 158 seats with unparalleled vantage point, just 65 feet from the field In-seat food and beverage ordering and delivery Dedicated VIP premium entrance in the West Lobby of Lower.com Field Access to a 3,200-square-foot private, high-end Suite Level Lounge
Uzbekistan. I mean, unless you're hoping to see the AT&T girl (Милана Александровна Вайнтруб) root on the SSR of her birth, this hardly seems worth $15, much less a few c-notes.
Sometimes it's about the experience and not the match. Plus, it would be fun to watch the Lady Nats drop a couple touchdowns while having food and drinks delivered to me in the fancy seats.
Is it really though? A nice 2-3 goal win is fun. Anything over 5 is just boring and sad. And this from a guy who will be going and drove to Cleveland to watch them play Paraguay
That said, and I agree with you in general, Mrs KG and I really, really enjoyed the 10 goals the Jackets dropped on Montreal a few years back.
When it's a true outlier (how often has that EVER happened in the NHL?) and unexpected, I can see it. When everyone knows what's going to happen, it's a bit like going to watch a public hanging or a tarring and feathering.
Speaking of blowouts, thank whoever that college football is trying to get away from their version, because you can only sit through so many P5 blowout wins. I saw OSU blow out Rice 70-7, Pitt the next week 72-0, however many they scored against EMU and "directional Florida" either UCF or USF, I forget. At least those schools get huge checks, but there comes a time when it's not worth it for anyone. With that said, it would be interesting to see what would happen if the Big Ten went to a SEC-type schedule where they played a patsy the week before a big game...but it'll never happen.
The Leafs had a 10-7 win a few weeks ago. Sidenote: How many times does someone score that many and LOSE a game?
Upper deck front row of the South end was also $100 each. Pretty sure that doesn't come with anything extra. We did row 2 for $35 ($44 with fees)
I just got a standard insiders presale code. Basically everything is available with my code except for 208-209, 109-113 and 121-123...the upper southwest and the west corners. If there isn't a STM presale, getting tickets with the general public won't be hard. This platinum seats thing is wild. It's $100 for the ledge, but with platinum seats, the first row of the Nordecke is $175. The fourth row? $40. Section 127 (directly behind the goal) is blocked off for Sammers/AO.
got mine probably 2 minutes after you posted. Was told it would be emailed out on Wednesday. Of course I had the US Soccer one on Wednesday. But yeah, not exactly selling like hot cakes so far
I still haven't received anything from The Crew. I used my US standard insider code and picked some up. Those Ledge seats were tempting but went with $55 sec 105 row 5 tix instead.
Oh, definitely. I have vague memories of a $125 ticket for USA-Mexico, but maybe that's not true and it was closer to $90.
