and what passport info to you use? You are requested to enter your passport ID. Or do you give an odd number? I am pretty sure, if you need to change that to a correct passport ID due to valid reasons like that the passport will reach its end date, FIFA will ask you to prove, that you were the correct owner of the original passport ID you provided, but if you generate random IDs, you cannot prove that. Anyways, I am quite against your actions. You seem to steal many "normal" applicants fair chances to be able to watch at least some matches live.
They are marketing this as the most convenient World Cup for watching games. There is nothing to do in the country besides watching games. So it makes sense they’re allowing fans to watch as many games as possible. I believe they said you’ll be able to watch 2 matches per day based on how close the venues are . So it’s probable they’ll let us buy tickets in later phases to games on the same day .
I’ve never entered my real passport number. You walk up to the ticket machine and print the ticket. If you need to go inside the office they check your passport to the name on the ticket .
Other than this website (https://www.qatar2022.qa/book/en/), will there be any private accommodations offered through AirBnB or VRBO for example. I dont see anything at the moment, but it may be too early?
I'm sure something will pop up in time. Also Qatar "paid" a lot of money to host this event. They'll figure out the rooming issues, alcohol issues etc in due time. The main focus should be tickets to games.
I found options on AirBnB 10 days ago that ranged from $200 per night for a single room with an attached bathroom, to $1400 per night for a room on a boat. I haven't checked since then, but I did email the "host/seller" and they said the room was available for WC 2022. For Russia I used AirBnB for my stay in Kazan. I started searching for rooms about 3 months out, and from day to day the listings would change, new rooms were always coming on the market, and some would disappear as they were rented. I imagine it will be the same for Qatar.
Alright bhoys & girls? Here we go again!! Always fun. I'm only half in on this tournament as November is an awful time of year for me to be out of the country due to work responsibilities. Bottom line for me is, if I get tix to the Semi's and the Final then I will go to Qatar for the week. Otherwise I may watch this one on TV. Thanks "Popular Side" for the opening video, very helpful.
Hey fellas, Are you allowed to change the details of your guest after you get tickets? Say, I apply for 3 friends; lets call them A B and C, and we receive tickets to some games. A and B are still good to go but C decides he cannot make it. Fortunately for the other guys, friend D says he can come. So friend A (the main applicant) wants to change the details on friend C's ticket to match D's details. Is this allowed? Sorry if my way of asking sounded childish lol. I just wanted to make sure it is as easy to understand as possible
You can’t change the guest names, but you can transfer the ticket to a new guest . Youll be able to transfer Cs ticket to D (new guest). This is allowed as long the tickets aren’t printed. Once the ticket is printed , just physically hand Cs ticket to D. No one has ever checked names on tickets to any match.
Well they basically invited anyone on the planet to apply with no consequence . (Credit cards), so I’m not surprised. The one thing I noticed is they’ll be checking household restrictions, so hopefully that’ll eliminate some applications
3.5 million (70% from Russia) and >300k for the final. https://www.rferl.org/a/russia-2018-world-cup-3-5-million-tickets-soccer/28790091.html
Considering that change, there’s no point in comparing to prior World Cups at this phase. The more accurate comparison will come when we see how many successful applications are actually paid for in March.
Off topic while we wait: How many people expect discounted Cat 4 tickets will be made available for host nation fans in 2026?
They'll be made available. There's large poverty communities in the USA and Mexico. Will the seats actually be filled by the poor? that's a separate question.
So the confirmation email that the first phase has closed says that we will be notified March 8, AT THE EARLIEST. I saw that elsewhere in the ticket information, so it could be April? I doubt it will be that late or later than that. Good luck all, I think we will need it. I am not expecting any good news from this phase.
The final draw is April 1. So it can’t be in April. I think we’ll be noticed March 9 with a short window to pay. Unclaimed tickets with fall into the FCFS phase which must end before April 1. …this from the FAQs “you will be notified of the outcome of your ticket application by email following the random selection draw around (but no earlier than) the 8 March 2022. The second sales period of Sales Phase (1) is a first come first served sales period, which will take place prior to the Final Draw.”
So 17 million. 1,8 million only for the final. What about the other matches, stadium tickets or tst. Lots of people from Qatar. What about the categories. Would like to now some more about the figures. Aren't FIFA telling this.
