Weston's connecting flight in NYC was cancelled and was stuck there over night. He should be back in Turin tonight and a part of the small workout Saturday. I don't know if he will be starting after arriving late and playing so much over the last 3 matches. I hope he can get a nice rest, but Hellas have had our number the last few years and he will probably be needed at some point with Locatelli suspended due to yellow card accumulation. Arthur, Rabiot, Zakaria, and Wes will be the CM available for Sundays match.

He won't start but I'm sure he'll be available from the bench. He's a machine, so he's got 20-30 minutes in him if need be.

Is there any word on if we get to see Vlahovic this weekend?

I am almost positive Vlahovic will play Sunday. Some journalists are speculating that he will start up top with Morata and Cuadrado but is kind of out of the ordinary for Allegri. He normally eases new transfers into the team but these are extraordinary times with top 4 in the balance.

What I think is interesting and fun to watch is he just seems to have a knack for improvising quick simple solutions to situations - they don't always come off, but he's innovating out there. There was a play from the other night where he quickly lifted the ball over the leg of an opponent when I was surprised he even saw him. Made it look effortless.

Remember when Wes first got to Juve and *they took him out of the box* on set plays?

Yep - this I remember. He was the safety valve early on because of his coverage of the field. Not the best use of him . . .

Damn, you guys paid CR7 almost 1M a week? That's insane.

I just can't imagine what those guys making 100k-200k a week feel.

Honestly, he scored more than most forwards on the NT team.

If they have good perspective. Comparison game does crazy things to people though. Especially hyper competitive people.

Weston's passing has improved so much, it makes me wish more of our guys went to Italy.

In one sense, it is insane.

But if you considered, Ronaldo generally delivered the goods. If his teammates had played as well in their positions as he had in his- they likely are a Champions League finalist or semi-finalist and also compete for the league.

His dedication to his craft is 2nd to none. He prolly allowed Juve to increase revenues from sponsorships and tv rights money significantly. Shirt sales also not insignificant revenue.

It is nice to see a team have a vision and ‘go for it’ even if they fail. I’ve seen many worse transfer ideas (including all financial considerations) than Ronaldo to Juve.

He's on the bench getting some rest. Their new striker has already scored. Should be a fun final 1/3 of the season for Juve and Weston.

They need to lock down that champions league spot for sure.

McKennie had an active cameo in the final minutes, driving forward with the ball several times and having a left-footed shot saved.

Juventus win 2-0. They're crawling up the table and are currently on a 9-3-1 run in Serie A since November 1.

I suspect Zakaria will get some of the minutes which otherwise would have gone to Wes.

If they didn’t spend so much on one player they could have afforded better players. Watch him with Manchester United and you can see they are mostly worse as a team with him.

Wes looked very good. When he plays for Juve he stays away from the whipped cream in his game. I like that better, he isn't Ronaldinho.

Vlahovic looks like he is going to be the real deal at Juve, just what they needed. Looking forward to watching him the rest of the season.

Not sure why you keep insisting on this. My take is that he doesn’t abuse it and his flair moves come off as much as they don’t.

Sometimes it is what the situation requires given speed of ball entry and fleeting opportunity. In the final 1/3 there has to be some leeway for such things.

The argument makes more sense the closer to one’s own goal.

Wes is one athletic dude. More than many, he can pull off some unusual and fancy stuff.

And who can forget the Ronaldinho-esque goal against Barca.

I hope he continues on his current path, fearless and confident.

Probably but they still are fairly thin at midfield and honestly it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if Weston is no longer the 1st name on the team sheet as we turn the season into the final push for the WC.

I'd imagine him and Zakaria both start more often than not. Arthur and Ramsey are squad players. Locatelli is a lock starter. Berna seems to play more of a winger type role so overall that leaves a lot of time for Weston still.

Juve is really playing their best football of the year right now they were dominant today for the most part. Vlahovic was the absolute best addition they could have made he brings the space occupier they need in front of Morata and Dybala. His play with back to goal is so good, makes you really pine for a similar striker on the USMNT.

Don't look now but Juve is into UCL qualification and only 7 points back of 1st. Napoli and Inter play each other next weekend and Napoli has a brutal schedule upcoming with Barca in Europe after Inter and Lazio the following weekend in Serie A. Inter are def in the driver's seat with a game in hand but Juve could easily finish 2nd if they continue this form.
