This is the first tournament allowing you to buy 6 together. Normally the max is 4. This phase really is the best chance as a neutral to grab popular games. Trying to get 5 together for a Brazil game or an Argentina game etc will be really really tough after the draw. If that game is v Mexico for example it will be almost impossible. After the draw games like Panama v Senegal will be really easy to pick up. Of course it could be a cracking game.
As a USA fan, it's unfortunately looking more and more likely that I'll be going as a neutral indeed. But that's for another forum.
> US Soccer has its own draw for tickets. In US TST, does it end when US loses out say in the Quarter Final ? Or it lets you follow the winner to the final ? I thought I read somewhere that TST ends with your team
As answered before. General public TST7 - follow whoever knocks your country out. you do see the final National football federation TST7 - ends when your country gets knocked out.
Hi all my friend will apply for ticket but he doesnt got passport. So doesnt know what to put on passport number. do you think having imaginary passport number hurts ? Like FIFA will do verification once the ticket is about to be issued (assuming we win). Let’s not worry about FAN ID first. Thanks
Yes can a friend apply with no passport but they aren’t going they just applying for someone else so they put xxxxxx under passport number, Will they be able to transfer the tickets to someone else in our group (paper or e-ticklet), and also does the person who won tickets in lottery have to pay with credit/debit card in their name? Or it be paid with someone else card?
It can work with someone else card but i guess they would flag if many apps are paid with the same card and consider them as multiple applocations. Not sure about that but it is just a guess
I talked with FiFA customer care through phone. They said electronic would probably the preferred method but he also suppose paper ticket will still be available
Do we expect there will be a robust public secondary market (StubHub, etc.) for tickets like for the past WCs? I don't know if the terms have changed, but this time around FIFA seems to be saying: no resale allowed except through the FIFA Resale Platform. And if the tickets are indeed all electronic that may make it easier to enforce the ban on selling because it would eliminate trusted 3rd party facilitators like StubHub who can offer guarantees to both sellers and buyers. https://www.fifa.com/tournaments/mens/worldcup/qatar2022/news/ticket-resale-fwc22 "Please note that you shall not, whether physically or online, offer for sale, sell, offer at auctions, give away or otherwise transfer or attempt to transfer, or engage a third party to facilitate or solicit offers for the transfer of their tickets under any circumstances, including any use or attempted use of tickets for advertising, promotions, incentive programmes, sweepstakes, contests, giveaways or raffles or as part of hotel, flight, hospitality or travel packages, or other commercial purposes, except as expressly authorised in writing by FIFA Ticketing, or as permitted by the Ticket Terms of Use."
The secondary resale market has always been against FIFA rules. You've never been allowed to transfer tickets outside FIFA. Touts will find a way to resell; even the electronic tickets; because there will be high demand.
Do you mean if the ticket electronically right ? i think the only possible way is to have the seller Fifa ticketing account logged-in on our phone. Which I agree might create some hindrance on selling tickets. It’s should be a problem if we use friends ticket. Assuming they are okay to give the Fifa ID (and no detailed verification on the app (taking selfie, etc)… also, I think you attended arab cup (if I’m not mistaken). How was your experience using the app ? Thanks in advance for sharing
FIFA have always said this but there will always be a secondary market. For the Arab Cup you could not transfer your own ticket which will make it more difficult. It was very easy to transfer guest tickets. People should be very clear also when swopping tickets etc. If somebody offers you a ticket for a game it might be they are offering an app login. So if I have a ticket for the 4pm game in Education City on 22/11 and my brother has one for 10pm at Lusail. If he wants to give me his ticket then I must logout of the app on my phone re-download it and login to his account. This can get very messy even with people you know and trust. I would also need him to be available to pass on a code sent to his email. A second phone will definitely help. For the Arab Cup even with tickets being readily available they took steps to stop people attending consecutive games. Anything that makes life tougher for the ticket touts is good in my book. The reality is many more tickets will end up being sold back to FIFA for resale on the portal.
I I think it will be the world with the record of tickets transfered back to Fifa through the paltform and the world cup with the record number of last minute sales.
Yes, so as you said, even if you can't transfer Main Ticket, there will still be a way to logout, send login details and possibly have to validate the code sent to email, which should take barely few minutes...
It is not always that easy. I know a friend struggled during the euros. Even deleting the app didn't help and he had to change his SIM. I suspect you may need to delete the app and download it again. It should only take a few minutes but is messy. I'd rather do it before the tournament and have all my tickets on my phone than be trying to do it on the metro en route to a game. Another issue is you need to completely trust the person. When they download and install the app they have all the remaining tickets on the app. If they refuse to logout and delete the app or even struggle to do this you are in trouble.
Hi all, My first time here and I just want to thank you all for the comments. It’s really helpful! I’ve been reading all messages and replies and was wondering if I can have any trouble with multiples accounts ir order to increase my odds. I’m looking for Brazil tickets, that’s pretty much hard to get. Thank you!
If i look at your source I don't think you can say already that this will be the prices during the World Cup. From a friend who is working at an airport he is saying that Qatar Airways still doesn't sell al their plane tickets. Let's wait a little bit more to have that information or does someone knows this better. Last world cup in russia plane tickets were very cheap but you can not compare Russia with Qatar.
Yeah I went to Russia twice - first 10 days of the tournament, back to work for a week, then the last 10 days of the tournament. Took Azerbaijan Airlines + Pegasus (Turkey), only spent a couple of hundred dollars on both sets of flights... was super cheap!
