So impressed with this kid, he's better than I even imagined from all the YouTube clips seen before he joined. His passing ability especially long range is unreal, pinging balls left right and center. His ability to spin players facing his goal and leaving them behind in the dust reminds me of peak Kagawa, though I think he has stronger physical aspects to his game. Ange says the best is yet to come, I'm so excited to watch him today again especially at Celtic park. Some of my friends at work support Hearts and were at the game, even they couldn't help but talk about how good Hatate is. If you want to see the impact he's making, just search reo hatate on twitter and look at the top comments.
Ange Postecoglou really should become the Japan NT manager. Unfortunately his stock is on the rise and I suspect his next job will be in the Premier League. Our shot would've been when he was the coach at Marinos.
Hatate started the Saturday game against Dundee and was subbed around 60 minutes, most likely being rested for the huge match against Rangers on Wednesday. Had a neat and tidy game, but had trouble against a very defensive team and Celtic in general struggled, only managing a 1-0 with a last minute goal. This however gives them a chance to leapfrog Dangers on Wednesday if they win. Maeda may be available for Wednesday, depending if he plays for Japan or not. Rangers are going all out now for 1st place and the new guaranteed Champions League spot, plus £30 million bonus having just signed Diallo from Man United and Aaron Ramsey from Juventus on loan. An exciting finish to the season ahead!!
Hatate is the real-life Goku! Everywhere! So strong! Shoots like the Yamato! EDIT: He assisted for the third!
jesus christ Hatate is tearing apart Rangers alone. IT TOOK REO HATATE LESS THAN 5 MINUTES TO STRIKE FIRST VS. RANGERS 💥 pic.twitter.com/hWhldMoxbJ— CBS Sports Golazo ⚽️ (@CBSSportsGolazo) February 2, 2022
Yes, he scored two screamers, and assisted the scorer of the third goal. But he's also ruined a big Rangers counterattack, and an aggressive play down the right, cooperating with Taylor. He literally plays every position on the pitch, at the same time. A God-mode code.
I still remember Nakamura's screamer against Rangers years ago. Hatate reminds me of those vivid memories. I hope he cements his status among Celtics legends soon. Oh, and I hope someone shows this match to Moriyasu, he seriously needs to consider Hatate in his plans.
I’m sorry but Moriyasu’s substitutions are already booked out. Nakayama around 65’ followed by Maeda/Furuhashi, Haraguchi and maybe Doan.
I seriously begin to suspect he's an android more than a human. Like someone said in the JNT thread, he's like being pre-programmed to use the same tactics over and over. hahaha. Hopefully someone would upload clips of this match through virus, wires...don't care... to his effin' brain.
Yeah, my Japan team would look sooo different to his, there's so much room for beauty and flair but he really goes for pragmatism. Anyway, Reo Hatate MoTM to no one's surprise, old firm derby debut with two goals and an assist in one of the biggest games in world football, that's unreal. Getting so much praise in the media right now. Maeda came on for the last 20 minutes, but was pretty quiet understandably, the best is yet to come with him. A performance to remember.
Ok. It seems "scottish" guys can score. Now if JNT is looking for someone who can score in a big match, these are the dudes. Take note thanks.
Pretty much. All Japanese bhoys in green have shown their value by being unfazed by the challenge of playing in Scotland. It's all up to their credit for playing this well. Moriyasu can eat a pie full of cow s*** if he doesn't wake up to reality ASAP.
Credit the whatever you guys are doing in Japan to develop players. Australia is way behind in terms of the quality of players that Japan are producing. One key word from today's Celtic win: HATATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
