Can't say I am thrilled about Zardes, perhaps my least favorite player.

Pepi must really be burried in the doghouse.

The sight is watching people's reaction to it and their inevitable question "So why am I spending $200/mo on Comcast?"

The picture quality is often better with Rabbit ears. OTA broadcasts aren't compressed where Comcast/Direct and AT&T cable signals typically are.

Plus the OTA broadcasts are usually 5-10 seconds ahead. You get to annoy your neighbors by reacting first. You're watching the past on cable.

I believe the game on Telemundo is being called by Andres Cantor and former USMNT player and current Houston Dynamo coach, Tab Ramos.

    Pretty cool lineup!

    Canada 1-USA 0 after only 6 minutes.

    This Canadian team is real!

With all due respect, why would Paramount+ owner ViacomCBS (who paid money to be the exclusive English-language broadcast provider for this game) want any other channel providing an English-language broadcast or SAP audio of this game?

What ViacomCBS should've done, though, is to also broadcast this game on CBS Sports Network. That way, way more people could watch the game in English since most TV broadcast providers do carry that channel. :)

Wow, great game. We came out pressing like crazy...love it. A bit of inexperience on their goal between Richards and Robinson. I think this is their first time together in the middle. Would have rather had Zimmerman to organize, but GB going with more speed to deal with their speed on the counter. But we came to play, no sitting back, we're getting after it on a narrow field.

IMO we are the better team by a good margin. Should be 1-0 or 2-0 U.S. Canada has barely had the ball in our final 3rd. Just gotta keep trying to dominate the game and hope it pays off in the 2nd half.

Also, if you notice the shadows, massive issues with the sun in the US players' eyes -- will be flipped the next half.

We're playing on the front foot and giving the canadian back line trouble with the press...Aaronson and Zardes really putting in the work. Looked like Herdman brought back another central mid to help break the press. Unfortunate we didn't score, great save by the keeper. I like our chances to get at least a point if we can keep up the press and intensity wear down their shaky back line...force more errors from them....We're moving the ball well, everybody in sync...Pulisic is sharing the ball...much better from him...he's on the same page as the team.

Yeah, unfortunate, but I still come away believing the US is easily the better team. Canada bunkered and played for the counter, which came very infrequently. But that's what you do when you know you're the inferior team.

Unfortunate in many ways about the early goal. Canada bunkered and fouled and we saw a boring game.

I felt like the US needed to take the ball wide more in the final 3rd. Everyone wants to cut in and be the hero. Take it wide and cross it in, and if you don't score there's a good chance for a corner.

I didn't like the starting lineup, no way Zardes should start (nevertheless play) for the US Men. I think we would have better when Pepi in there. And Pulisic needs to play on the right.

With the lineup we fielded, a deserving result.

Agreed, I would have gone Pepi. He's much more savvy.

There's some quote of Berhalter saying US dominated the game. Let's be clear:

There are no moral victories losing a WC qualifier to Canada by 2 goals.

I stand with Gregg on this one. The US did dominate in everything but the score. CA could barely get the ball into the US final 3rd. I know some people will say that only the score matters, but in the long run, it's how you play the game that will determine your success or failure. The US plays very good possession-oriented attacking soccer. They sometimes just need to be more clinical around goal. But the US team is young, talented, and very deep. Despite the loss I actually came away from the game optimistic.
