I don’t know I love James but his first touch is really bad. He also isn’t running to get to plays. he almost just scored but still. He needs to go back to Argentina or go to Brazil because he is in a non existent league. I think Falcao and James have been the weakest of the 11 so far. But then both almost just scored
That's a hard a$$ ball to hit right, but Falcao has gotta connect with those. With the amount of possession we have right now, his only role on the field is to finish.
Yea man…. The strikers need to do better. love Radamel but today the mf is doing what it needs to do. we need to score they don’t have a fking force field also for the love of god please stop passing the ball back between cbs that was almost a goal against
Mojica is so limited its tough to watch, everyone knows he's gonna try to get to the line and cross but not sure he can do much else.
4 minutes and hot potato bullshit!! is it the players or the coach? instead of trying to score…. Back pass!
The only time the left side of the field did something good was when James switched sides for a bit. Besides the play that led to the Cuadrado free kick, Lucho was too quiet. anyway, we've seen this shit too much. Dominating possession at home, but not able to score. Another frustrating half.
We are using two strikers who are on meh form but pushing our most dangerous player further out wide to where he isn't getting involved in the play. Diaz is an asset and he's not really involved in the game, we need to find a way to get him closer to goal, get him the ball in the box and let him go at players. Ideally I think I'd want James and Diaz closer to goal with a lot of freedom, maybe we take off a striker and add a midfielder and let James play as a 10 in a 42-3-1 and let Diaz play higher and closer to the striker. I doubt we'd see that but I think I trust Diaz and James on the ball to score or create havoc more then anyone else right now.
The real question is: why wouldn't you let James take the free kick? And the answer is because Cuadrado is selfish and egotistical. Before anybody starts trying to revision all of this in a few days: James has allowed Cuadrado to take a corner and free kick with no complaint. Moreover, he put the ball on Falcao's head off a corner, he put in the piercing through ball to Falcao, and nearly connected with Falcao on a cross that required a diving header from a defender. The creativity on this team comes from James.
I don't want to blame him for it, but I think Falcao's presence is causing the clog up. I'd take him off...
He is a shadow of his old form and still delivering the majority of the opps for this team. Can't believe how they played out the last minute with no urgency. That's just pathetic coaching.
I love the man. If Valoyes or Duvan or Muriel miss that chance that went off his knee we'd never hear the end of it. We won't because he has earned that respect without question but the pressure on the team right now is insane. Heck - I am so stressed out just watching!
Too much Mojica on the ball not enough Diaz. Two strikers who waiting for service who can't really drop or move enough to create and its not working game after game. Drop the 4-4-2 Rueda you want 6 games without a goal? Try something different ffs.
