I want to get excited about Estrada, he looks like he could be DC's Josef Martinez! The kind of forward I've dreamed about. But I look and see he hasn't scored at all, not once, in Mexico this season. So that gets a 'hmm'. It's always something, isn't it? One thing I have faith in is Losada. No matter who he has in there, they'll play a certain way and create at least a few good chances, many more on a good day. I'm definitely not as down on this team as I would be if Losada wasn't there.
That may be how it plays out but giving Losada tools that fit his style and new players all deserve the benefit of the doubt. What we do know is that it almost 100% likely that you will continue to find something to bitch about.

Also makes it seem less likely we'll trade Kamara before the season.
Picking up an extra international slot shows they had no plan a month ago when they traded an international slot. Thx, Jay!
It's not that they had no plan necessarily (although that could be true). They had Arriola and Paredes but no good enough offers for either of them and thus no need to find international players to replace them. Then they got offers that they couldn't refuse and in my opinion were right to take. Now they need that international slot back. It's obvious their plan (or lack of plan, which is a possibility) changed extremely quickly. To say trading their international slot and then getting one back now is proof that they had no plan just doesn't hold water.
Rumors and a real solid deal option are very very different things. He ended up moving in MLS. I wonder if they would have moved him in the transfer to Club America was the only option. Surely depends on the price... but the minimum price to move him overseas had to be a lot higher as has been discussed in most articles about his move.
I don't think Arriola or Paredes leaving was up to the club. Both players had agents working to move them and they moved. All of these offers we're making, some accepted, some rejected, is definitely panic induced to some degree.
If anyone want to see that Ecuadorian forward, we were linked with.... the one that plays for Toluca, he is starting vs Brazil in 30 minutes.
According to Reddit he had a goal taken away by VAR due to the ball going out of play during the buildup, and botched another golden chance later since he couldn't get a shot off before the keeper got the ball. He was rusty from the lack of minutes at Toluca but seems like he still showed some quality.
Talks with Tevez were so informal, money hadn’t even been discussed. One source called prospect of him signing “silly,” another said it was on “back-burner.”Looking like DCU will use Loudoun keeper to fill 3rd slot, at least for now.Nothing imminent in Kamara trade talks.— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) February 9, 2022 Oh well, 10 Games, 17 GAA, and 18 saves. At least he's above a 50% save percentage.
I can literally taste the vomit in the back of my throat right now. We're a tweaked hamstring or torqued knee away from a month of lousy footwork, bad decisions about staying/coming off his line, and alligator arms being in goal.
perhaps he had a mentor from the Avis car rental school of sales - we try harder (as opposed to "we win trophies" - oops, did I say that?)
