I'm happy with the draw. The team shows up against the bigger teams. If we had drawn Cadiz or Mallorca or Rayo it would have been another struggle. Just hope we can use the Brazilians, I'm sick and tired of meaningless international fixtures during the season. Clubs should be able to keep players from joining national teams, after all who is playing their wages ? ******** national teams. I don't give a shit about international football.
But the players themselves do, especially from the bigger footballing nations like..............Brazil, think Benz and see how much it means to players
The other thing is the timing...it's only 2 games before the PSG tie. December/Jan/Feb.....are really brutal months for the team especially when you throw in the Supercopa and Copa del Rey. The guys have already played 2 sets of extra time in a 10 day span. Carlo should rotate heavy again this weekend against Elche. Since our south Americans won't be there against Bilbao...we need to other players to gel somewhat. Huge upcoming weeks for players who've been on the fringes. I think Camavinga/Fede/Hazard/Isco/Ceballos/Jovic will get some minutes. Make it count! Vamos. p.s - this has been one of our most enjoyable seasons of the past few years.
🚨| Official: Athletic - Real Madrid will be on Thursday, February 03 at 21:30 CET.🇧🇷 Brazil play on Wednesday, February 02 at 01:30 CET. 👀 pic.twitter.com/yXlpr85cY6— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) January 21, 2022 So it seems the Spanish Federation really doesn’t want us to win the Copa del Rey. The Brazilians will have less than 18 hours between their last qualifier and our quarterfinal match
Whats the situation with our younger players antonio blanco and gudjohnsen?they havent still signed a new contract
I remember back in 2004 when chivas made the semifinal of the libertadores beating boca 3-0, only to have their entire team used in the national team the day of the semifinals vs atlético paranaense. We lost like 4-1. To this day I still curse that situation as it was the closest my Mexican team will ever come to a libertadores and it came off the greatest ever win my team ever delivered.
Well, we're having a mid-season world cup, so in the "we saved football" post Superleague fiasco world, anything is possible. We might just scrap off days entirely and play every two days. Maybe loosen up the screws on peds and have the players go nuts.
I dont know about Ancelotti but he needs to rotate more , his making the same mistakes , i mean we got results for now , but if our midfielders get injured or tired our season will fall apart...
Balance is required, rest is needed yes but we need to keep getting results too, in order to win trophies, it's a delicate balancing act, we can't just take for granted we'll keep getting results when we make rotations, we hope we can but there isn't any guarantee, in the end, a fine line, all the best to Carlo in getting it right
Football is a free for all at the moment. Aside from watching Madrid at the weekend / mid-week, I don't care about it as much anymore
That has less to do with the climate of the leadership, rules and regulations and more to do with the "after" of this two-year on-going Covid experience
It's odd. I'd watch football games just because they were on, now I'm not all that interested. Not sure if it's rules being put in place that is kind of killing the sport (WC every 2 years is another thing) or something else entirely. I've loved watching the NFL a lot more over the last couple of years lol
NFL is short season Less games No other league that competes with it soccer has over saturation with so many leagues, cups, teams, international tourneys, etc so harder to maintain the same level of interest if NFL had all that with their 4 hour games, people would get tired too
Yep, see that but I mean the overall excitement. I look forward to watching NFL where if Madrid are not playing, I don't care.
That's one of the reasons i was excited to see how the Super League would shape out. I know it's first iteration would have its flaws - but as it stands, I can't be bothered to watch anything other than Madrid. I find all the time I used to have for other leagues is now being spent watching other sports.
🚨| Juninho Paulista, coordinator of the Brazilian National Team, confirms to @ellarguero that the Real Madrid footballers will not leave the training camp until February 2.— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) January 25, 2022
Why are they doing this ? Brazil have already qualified for the WC. Why do they insist on playing 4 of our starters in these glorifed friendlies when we have an important competitive fixture at the same time ? ********ing cunts. FIFA really needs to make some changes regarding national teams. Clubs should be able to keep players from playing for their national teams. After all, players have contracts with their clubs, they are employees. The clubs pay wages, not national teams. I'm so sick and tired of this. I hope Brazil crash out in the WC group stage. Bastards.
They should allow sponsors on national team shirts, after all they as much of a business as any other club team. Don't know what's opposing that other than the idea of upholding a cheap illusion.
A CAULDRON AGAINST PSG Acceleration of work at the Bernabéu for the clash against PSG in the Champions League. The tarp will be removed in the West Stand which should be ready by March 9. The idea is to be able to create the atmosphere of the great European evenings. 1486478080587747331 is not a valid tweet id
Mauricio Pochettino is in a dilemma on whether to choose Ramos or Kimpembe in CB against Real Madrid. He will not use the defense of 3 CB’s, so he must choose one. @AndiOnrubia #UCL— Madrid Universal (@MadridUniversal) January 27, 2022
