We need an actual long term solution for the right wing back role really. As good as Carvajal is when fit, his injuries are becoming more and more frequent to the point where I’d consider him not reliable.

I don’t see us addressing it this summer though. We’ll go into next season with Carvajal and Lucas.

 

Bellingham is not a realistic target for us this year anyway. Next summer however, things could easily change with the stadium completion, etc.

 

I really hope that's not the case, we need to address it now frankly it's arguably the biggest need atm

 

Odriozola to return after loan.

 

Fifa seems to be changing the loan rules. I don't think it impacts Real Madrid at this point. But I could see this impacting City, Chelsea, and a few Italian teams that seem to loan out dozens of players.

Selling players with a buy back doesn't count as a loan I assume so that doesn't stop that from happening.

 

Our hands are probably a bit tied this summer financially to be able to focus on the RB, that’s what I suspect at least.

For me the next RB signing has to be someone as a starter really, not a back up to Carvajal.

As of now I don’t know who that would be however.

 

we really can’t. For some reason we just gave Dani a massive contract extension last year that extended him to 2025. Were stuck with him and LV/Orizola for the foreseeable future.

 

Signing Bellingham then loaning him back to Dortmund for a season or two would be the dream.
