Oh wow...he's learning he doesn't have the luxury to leave speedy players in a conference where speed/athleticism can kill. Color me impressed.

Honestly I'm surprised a coach with all that experience hasn't realized he cannot leave talent aside on for petty reasons at critical junctures.

Proving to be stubborn but not not completely stupid. I hate the bs of punishing players for not wanting a call up at a given time. Let them be human.

I'd like the Flores kid to make this world cup roster. He was given crap minutes last time Martino called him to the Sr Team

Araujo showed great things in that friendly against Chile. Hopefully he and Arteaga are the starting FBs. Both are speedy dudes that have a better recovery rate than Gallardo and Sanchez & Chaka

I’m not sure this Araujo kid is that much of an upgrade.

He’s young but has just as many brain farts, commits too many stupid of fouls, and gets beat a lot.

Still don't understand how Acevedo doesn't get called up, especially after how well he did in the friendly against Chile. The four gk's are 34, 35, 36, and 39. Damn.

Did he piss on Tata's coffee? He's much better than Cota and Orozco, at the least.

If Tata doesn't ******** this up, this could look like a nice round. The NT finally has the guys playing consistently in Europe it's just a matter of where to place them.

Absolutely do not understand the logic behind not giving Acevedo the go ahead over one of the 4 ancient GKs he called up. Feels like the time has come for some generational rejuvenation at the NT and just nope!

Wonder if the Ochoa kid is regretting his decision now

You can tell by this roster that Tata’s job is on the line. Zero risks. Dude even sacrificed his pride to bring on Arteaga.

How the hell do you leave out Santi Giménez and Acevedo who were the two best players in the friendly against Chile last month?

He pretty much ignored the Chile friendly. The only ones from that list are Antuna, who was already a regular, and Julian Araujo, who most likely will be the backup of the backup. Tata is another Tuca.

Santi was out due to Covid I think and just came back recently. Him not included makes some sense but Acevedo doesn’t. Still not a fan of Funes Mori or Henry but oh well. That backup 9 is what is worrisome especially if we rotate Raul. But then again we’re in Concacaf and we aren’t playing US or Canada. The Panama game though is important.

Santi just came back from covid and hasn’t started a game for Cruz Azul this season

that’s too much lack of experience for Martino

People all wound up over a call up for a keeper that will get zero minutes...

    "Why take Orozco, he's old!!!"

    Dude....that fool ain't playing lol....chill.

I think it’s partly an age thing, mixed with ridiculous ego. It’s why I’m hoping they someday take a chance on a young perhaps inexperienced coach. Someone who still remembers to be a player.

Thing is, Memo hasn’t exactly been lighting it up and him being an automatic starter should be questioned now. Dude cost us some points already against Panama and Canada

At this point I rather have Acevedo start over Memo

These are both valid points however the fact that he's not the favorite or at least in the conversation as the 1st choice is absurd...

FMF has money. It's not that... I think most coaches might be turned off because of meddling from federation.

When your fed is basically comprised of the owners of all of the clubs, that's problematic. There is a reason why many other countries insist on separating club ownership from FA leadership...

Unfortunately, Ochoa at this point is just an automatic starter whether he ********s up or not. Acevedo is stuck in the, “he’s too young and inexperienced” situation even though he’s almost 26. He just gotta play with America or Chivas for the ignorants.
