Funny how Real Madrid fans agrees Benzema's quote, but also wants Erling Haaland because of his stats. I don't see much hype on RMBS for e.g. Alexander Isak, his game is very comparable to Benzema.

 

Just dreaming but i hope Perez gives Benz a 4 year extention so he can beat Cristiano's record for #1.. his selfish ass won't like it though.

Benzema and Isak are not comparable in terms of talent. Benzema at Lyon was RM level talent. Isak will probably end up at Arsenal or Spurs. We'd like to keep that standard and hence going for Haaland from that generation.

 

Noboby here wants Isak as Benzema's successor unless Madrid miss out Haaland & even Vlahovic.

You've never watched Isak if you don't think he's on same level as Lyon Benzema, their skillsets is comparable.

Given how most people on RMBS says "Benzema >>>> Lewandowski (despite the latter's superior stats in comparision)", you guys should keep the same energy and rate Isak over Haaland.

Haaland is the next Lewandowski, just like how Isak is the next Benzema.

 

Did I enter some another dimension or something? Cause last I remember varnagel used to be ardent Benzema supporter (even when he used to suck).

Isak is not close to Lyon Benzema. He was also not good enough for Dortmund. Isak has 4 league goals this season. Everyone knew Benz was an elite talent at Lyon. SAF wanted him and RM got him. Isak has highs and lows at a club where Odegaard also had his. RM is a totally different level. I have watched Isak enough rather than raving about couple of his Euro games. He's very inconsistent and doesn't have the elite talent Benz had to start with.

Reinier is talented, but couldn't cut it at Dortmund. If he goes to La Real and puts up decent stats there, I doubt anyone would say he's RM starting quality let alone compare with Benzema. Comparing Isak as a talent to Benzema is absurd.

Let's see whether Isak can even reach Liverpool Coutinho level first who also had couple of flop spells at Inter before that. Pretty sure we will see Isak at Arsenal or Spurs rather than a club fighting for big titles. That's the level Odegaard ended up at.

I'm being petty I know....but I REALLY hate the fact that Cristiano of all people didn't vote for Benzema in his "The Best" top 3.......

In case anyone had any doubts over how CR7 can't be happy for his ex teammates. Freakin' Messi recognizes Benzema. Modric and Benzema probably don't care. But it gives us an idea of how ungrateful CR7 is to people who made him greater at Madrid. I think it was expertly executed how we came out to say we don't want him back. We don't need that kind of selfishness around this team right now. Have fun at Manchester United, where expectations are so low they are happy to qualify for the CL. The modern day Arsenal.

It’s looked like he’s been carrying an injury for a few months. Not surprised he’s starting to break down with all of the minutes he’s been logging. Hope he can get back quick, we’re toast without him.

TBF Lewandowski did deserve it after being robbed of the ballon d'or last year. But Kante and Jorginho above Benzema felt like a slight to me. Maybe his excuse is he was being "impartial".
