Cost less than half the price too. Ancelotti has done a phenomenal job with him making sure he simplified his game. A year ago Benzema was telling teammates not to pass him the ball, now they are forming a great partnership.

My beloved Geißböcke sitting sixth in the tabelle, ahead of Union Berlin only on the tiebreak of goals scored. Sixth place would be good enough for Conference League qualification.
They're just three points out of third place. :)

In 2018-19 Barcelona won the Liga/Copa double and reached the Champions League semi-finals.
Köln were in the second division.
If you told me back then that three years later one of them would qualify for the Champions League... a no-brainer, right?
    .........

    Mourinho on Roma's collapse toda vs Juve. (were up 3 x 1 and lost 3 x 4).

“It was so good for 70 minutes, then there was this psychological collapse. The 3-2 killed us, because Felix had an extraordinary game, which finished with a sprint against Cuadrado. I take him off and his replacement gets it all wrong.

“When we allowed them back in for 3-2, a team with a strong mentality like Juventus, a strong character. The fear set in. A psychological complex. It’s not a problem for me having 3-2, it’s a problem for them. For my team.

“At the end of the day, when you’re in the s**t, you get back on your feet and find your character. But there are people in this locker room who are a bit too nice, a bit too weak.

    Translation ... check please !!!

    Typical Mou.
When his teams win it’s because of his coaching genius.
When they draw or lose it’s his players’ fault and he needs upper management to buy him Grade A eggs.

Xhaka is the worst. How is he a pro? He’s a red card waiting to happen.

He is so frustrating. Not sure what Arteta sees in him.

Simply because they play better with him in the team plus he’s apparently the most popular player amongst all the other players

Did he just sum up Ronaldo's career?

Gave the assist for the 1-2 as well. So can we conclude that he’s just not a good fit at Barca? Smh. Hope he carries this form till the end of the season and Villa activate the option to buy him. He’s a good player, just not for us.

I mean it was a tap in but, yeah, the assist was sweet. Totally created that first goal and it was like 5 minutes after coming on in his first match for them!

Good for him. I wish him well - he is a professional (unlike Dudbele)

Came on at 2:0 down , created havoc and was instrumental in the first goal then scored a good equaliser.

StevieG says he’s shocked how fit he is ..

    Cout says Hi ...

That wasn't an assist BTW. Fred knocked if off his foot.

No idea what that's about but after hearing about that nonsense I get the feeling Portugal will qualify for the World Cup come hell or high water. And I don't just mean their players giving it their all.

Surprised that Betis is able to play in front of a full crowd just 3 days after a fan chucked a large projectile on to a Sevilla player's head. o_O

Crazy that now Chelsea may fight for their place in top 4. If Tuchel is sacked and available in summer, will Laporta go for him? He said before he wants a German coach.

I think manager talk at Barca is OBE. Xavi is obviously going to get at least a couple of seasons to work through this mess.

And Chelsea will sort things out soon enough anyway. They are too talented to be struggling like this for long. And even after this pretty big slump they are still 7 points clear of West Ham.
