After two insipid 1-0 losses, I recorded Monday's game against Pachuca and finally saw it last night.

    Wow.

This is the worst Cruz Azul I've seen in a while. There's no fight in this club and I'm wondering if Reynoso has lost the team already. The last time they were this bad was back when they were under Sergio Bueno. He lasted 16 games and I don't think Reynoso is going to beat that mark unless there's massive improvement. They were missing "Cabecita" but man if one player makes this much difference in a team then we're toast. Had Pachuca not been so bad at finishing their scoring chances, CA would have lost by a couple of goals (Thank you Quiroga for missing that last one). Basically CA got lucky. They have no attack and you can't really keep relying on your opponent missing their chances.

Queretaro next at home. "Cabecita" should be back and CA plays at home so hopefully there'll be some improvement. For sure they can't play as badly as they did on Monday. Or can they....

Still here. Haven't posted in a while. Still trying to soak in the League Title from May. Don't think we're going far this time around but you never know.

oh me too no doubt. But it was weird watching them play such a defensive style and still get results. I'm not knocking it since it got the ultimate result. Markarian had them playing some beautiful futbol and that got us to the final but that was it. Now they'll be in a honeymoon period for a bit and then the pressure will start mounting once again. If they get bumped out of the Liguilla early, I expect Reynoso will start feeling the heat next year.

I missed the game but I was also rooting for Atlas. Once Cruz Azul was out my interest in the liguilla dropped significantly. Also, as long as America is eliminated, I'm happy.

Hopefully next year we will have a better run at it. Happy holidays and stay safe during all this gatherings. Had a few of my people get sick lately sadly.

it's a new start in 2022. Looks like the Pelaez team is basically gone. We shall see.
