I remember reading something a couple years ago where someone was doing research and couldn't find anyone who had.
yeah, people don't publish when they fail a diploma but they likely retake them. I have certainly seen a need for all coaches to have the UEFA pro licence for coaching jobs, while even like 5 years ago, the UEFA A was good enough.
This journalist was going around asking people across Europe if they knew of anyone who had ever failed and no one did.
It's not a mandated requirement, the KNVB can put in charge anyone with a coaching licence, but to run a flagship like this one expects coaches with the highest certified qualifications.
Having the highest certified qualification is a nice thing, for sure, but it doesn't guarantee that you're a good coach. Not be a long shot. A lot of factors go into whether someone is a successful coach or not. Also, in what other sports are coaches certified? No pro U.S. sports have a certification process for coaches--none. Advanced learning is a good thing but plenty of coaches or those in other businesses do very well without it. It's like saying that someone must have an MBA (Masters of Business Administration) to be a corporate CEO. It's a good degree to have (in the U.S.), certainly, but many U.S. corporate CEOs do not have advanced degrees.
Dunno how it's abroad but in the Netherlands you need a licence for the sport you want to coach in. https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/CIOS This is the basic education and from there you specialize.
Same in France, you need diplomas depending on the level you work at: https://www.unecatef.fr/entraineur/devenir#Tableau-simplifié-des-Equivalences

Let's try that table again: Amazingly the official site has no statistics whatsoever, not even a top scorers table. On which point: Ajax' leading scorer is Romée Leuchter (NL U23) with 11 goals. Played Nikita Tromp out of the starting lineup in the striker position recently as Ajax are still trying to find their best 11 (after starting the season from the flank like last season with PSV who still had Joëlle Smits then. Seem to remember pointing her out as the inhouse successor to Smits but she made the move to Ajax; can't help but think it's because of the PSV coach . Another of their talents made the move to Twente, Kayleigh van Dooren who has been quite impressive this season both for Twente and NL U23 ... imo). I think Fenna Kalma of Twente is the leading scorer with 20 goals so far and right on her way to becoming the league's all-time overal scorer by the end of the season.

Maybe the new thread should be '2022 and beyond'?
Looks like a sound idea: in general, only NTs outside of the "Women's International" general forum manage to gather enough interest for a yearly thread to thrive. For instance, I just opened Official 2022 Nadeshiko Japan Thread on the general Japan forum, but it made sense since the 2021's one (as you can see here) was a 3271 replies worth moster (for reference, the Women's League in Italy thread, the other one where I post a lot, exist since 2008 in Women's International and gathered a "measly" 1413 replies in all those years!). I'd say that the most successful thread dedicated to a National Team here on Women's International are the ones not restarting each year (The Norway Thread being the best example)
Maybe then the solution is to start a Netherlands Soccer thread--no year. Given that this thread has a given year, it could, IMO, get a bit confusing if people just keep posting to it--if only because of the dissonance that would come with putting '22 news on a '21 thread.
Maybe a thread without year denomination can be started and the moderator can merge the existing thread into it.
